Opus Bar and Billiards — Restaurant in Belleview

Wife and I have visited Opus serval times over the course of the last year. Prices are good and its a convenient place to hang out for locals. My last visit was a nightmare, however. When I went to cash out my tab, the bartender notified me that she had, cashed someone else's tab out with my card and gave my card to them. I was told not to worry about my tab. Well, its a good thing, since my card was now gone, how was I suppose to pay? Problem is, someone else's tab was charged to my card. By the time I could contact my bank 3 other charges were on my card too, while we were still in the bar. My card was given away around 30 minutes after we arrived, by looking at the times it was used and we were there for 3-1/2 hours playing pool. I've never had my card given to another customer in my entire life. But, I can see how someone could get your card even if it wasn't directly given to them by bartender, as non-employees were constantly behind the bar, in the register area. This should not be happening and I hope this review puts an end to that practice. I still gave it 2 stars because the other times we have been there, were good times and other bartenders were nice and attentive. Unfortunately, all it took was one bartender I've never seen before, taking shots while she worked, to put a bad taste in my mouth on what can happen here. Now, I have to fight with the bank with disputed charges and setting up a new card. Still, for the most part, a decent place to hang out. Just be very careful of who and where your debit/credit card goes. Cash as you go, would be a better option than just plunking your card down for a tab. Don't let what happen to me, happen to you. Debating if we will ever return after this last incident. That is about the worst thing a bartender can do to a customer in my opinion. That's a massive mistake! Well I use to go to opus alot coming up an they was really good to me but now I'm 29 right bakk then I was 19 they used to let us in but we couldn't drink an we understand that I mean minor type of thing but yesterday was my lil brother 21 birthday an everything was good I'm like let's go to my favorite spot coming up play some pool listen to music an chill the ppl that was inside was pleasant but didn't talk anyone who worked there but the security guard an he seem cool at first but when we came bakk he wanted to wond is which isn't wat I had a problem wit it was the fact he choose to do it the second time we come back in cuz the didn't have change to even play pool he says to my lil brother its a bar wat do you expect .... Hold up what what we expected uhh for you to do your job the first time not have us walk up on you show our id an wait till we come bakk with quarter for you to want to wond down the black guys that jus came bakk in 5mins later it was literally seven ppl there then tried use like we couldnt read in town square it's say most be 21 an older .... Update ,, as of July 23rd 2022 They recently overhauled the pool tables and have new better quality pool 🎱 ball's Original review. I have been back a few times with my wife to shoot a few games of 8 ball. I don't drink so my wife drinks for me. She drinks two draft beers as we like everything in moderation. It's a mixed crowd young and seniors citizens all have a nice time. Cost of one game of pool 🎱 is one dollar and a draft beer is around $2.50 or so ... The only complaint I have is the pool balls are cheap and don't always roll straight. After a beer or two most people wouldn't notice the poor quality of the pool balls but I thought it is worth mentioning. Bottom line this is a friendly safe bar for young and old to get out and...
