Dropped my PC off first thing on a Monday. I dropped it off with 2 extra sticks of RAM and a second NVME. I was lead to believe it would be a 2-3 day process of diagnosis and repair.
They didn't touch my PC until late Friday afternoon. Turns out it was the CPU.
I spoke to them twice that Friday to confirm that was the issue, and that both hard drives had been install. I was assured both were install and my PC was booting. I just needed to order a new CPU.
I order the CPU and have it delivered there. I call the following Monday to confirm I ordered the part, and to let them know to expect it. I also made sure to confirm again that both hard drives were install and the pc was booting. I was told they were. I called when the CPU was delivered to make sure they got it, and to give any consent needed to open the package. Again I made sure to ask if Both hard drives had been installed. They assured me they were both installed.
I get a call at work that they installed the CPU and the PC was running perfectly. For a third time that day I confirmed that both hard drives had been installed. I get it home hook it up... and only one hard drive was installed. They installed windows on a NVME that was mean to be installed as storage. I started installing and setting up programs and windows etc. They didn't touch the original NVME that had my windows install on it.
I had to go back the next morning to get the 1tb NVME and 2 16gb sticks of RAM they forgot to install or give me when I picked up my PC. It took them about 20 mins to find my NVME and 2 sticks of RAM. No techs were in that day so it would be the next day before they could install the second NVME and test them both. They gentleman there was very understanding and said they'd take care of me for free.
I dropped the PC off again... Having now taken hours off work to do so over the last week and a half. I explained again that I wanted both drives installed and to boot from the original NVME if possible. 8 hours later I come back to pick up the PC. They still haven't installed both NVME hard drives. I had to wait for about 30 mins for them to finally get both NVME hard drives installed. I get home hook it up, and For some reason They wiped the install on the new NVME that I'd started to set up the night before.
I really didn't want to leave a negative review, because they did try to make things right in the end... But it was just issue after issue. Hours of my time thrown down the drain. Price wise I can't complain. Getting home and having to reinstall and reset up everything I had JUST set up for literally no reason is just...
Read moreWell, I brought my iPad Pro 10 in to get a price on getting the piece that you plug the charger into. They quoted me $200. I thought that was a bit much. I’ve used them before and never had any issues but this will be the last time I use them. A bit of back story is I dropped it off for a price for the repair since there were no techs available to help me with prices. As stated above the price they quoted was a bit high but I was going to move forward with the repair until my father passed away and I put all my savings into dealing with his funeral and expenses.
I called fixit and told them it would not be till the beginning of the month when o would have the money for the repair. I asked if I could leave the iPad till then and they told me yes no problem. Jump forward a month and a half I went into the shop and decided to take my iPad home since I was overwhelmed with bills from my dads passing and called ahead of time and spoke to the woman who said that it’s not a problem to come pick it up.
When I got there the lady took a bit to find my ticket in the computer and then started to locate my iPad in the store. She looked for 30 min and could not locate it. Finally the tech guy helped her find it and he said it was in the recycle pile. The glass was removed and because I didn’t come get it they were going to recycle it regardless that I called and let them know my situation. They handed me my iPad (see picture) they didn’t charge me for removing the screen but I’m upset that they did and had I not go there that they would have recycled it and didn’t even give me a phone call to let me know my iPad was being thrown away, or refurbished who knows but they had no right to remove the screen cause I told them the part I wanted to replace a needed a price. They didn’t have to remove the screen without my authorization.
So if your going to bring your computers, laptop, electronics whatever then I would suggest calling daily and checking on your item and whatever you do, don’t leave it there at the store for any length of time or when you go to pick it up it may be gone. They do not keep up with customers and let them know what’s going on… almost has my expensive IPad Pro 10 recycled or refurbished...
Read moreI was desperate to change computer repair companies. I made my mind up to go for it when my computer crashed after I had spent a lot of money doing repairs a month earlier. I googled computer repair and FixIT Tek popped up. I figured nobody could be any worse so I went with my laptop in hand. When I walked in, my first encounter was a very cute and nice dog. I love dogs. My next encounter was a very sweet young man named Greg. I explained my problem and he told me he would have it ready the next day. I was shocked not only for the next day service but, the low fee for repair. I was so happy. The laptop had the problem all along for 2 years. I took it home and it was so fast I just couldn't believe it. I had explained my situation about our business computers he told me I needed to meet John. John came the next day to my office and I explained my problems and worries. He was so nice and very smart. I felt very safe and secure with him. He told me all the things that needed to be done to my network and explained it completely. He said 3-4 days. I was shocked. He showed up when he said he would and he brought Jack. Jack did all they reprogramming . He was so nice and so so smart. These guys worked and worked and the really neat thing about them was they were so very very nice and they had FUN while working for me. I just think that was really cool. They really cared about my needs. That type of service is very far and few between. I just can't say enough how pleased with their company.
