Basil & Olive — Restaurant in Belleville

I started getting salads from here and at first they were perfect, the description of ingredients were what came. They are generous with portions. My favorite salad is the Greek, but lately they have changed the kalamata olives (traditional in Greek salad) to black olives which have very little flavor. They had not changed this in the description or the price as black olives are much cheaper than kalamata. I gave them a pass the first time thinking maybe they ran out as it was mixed kalamata and black but today I received all black olives which will make me not order from here. Atleast call the customer to explain the difference of ingredients. This is not ok. As a new restaurant get it together.

I’ve never eaten from this restaurant before, but I was craving something healthy and home-y. I came across Basil & Olive on Ubereats after scrolling for half an hour. Let me just say, I’m in love! I think the portion sizes are fantastic for one person. I could probably split this into two servings which is a plus! (Not me though, it’s too delicious to not eat all in one go!!) The presentation was very nice, I did cut the chicken into smaller pieces just so I could mix it all together. It even came quicker than I imagined in this weather! What a lovely restaurant and small business. The flavors are bright, comforting and complimentary. 10/10, no notes. Will definitely order from here again!!

I ordered food at the Bellville location. Firstly the location does not even have a sign of Basil & Olive but inside they had onky 1 kiosk and Basil and olive logo. Now coming on to the food, this was my first time ordering from Basil and olive and I must say it was very very disappointing. The bowls were missing many items. No tahini, the olives were very sour and way too many, we asked for onion in all bowls and only 2came with onions and the other 2 had cabbage in it. Free pita option was selected for all bowls and we got only 1 pita free, that too didn't look good. Overall the the taste was not good and the lack and mixed up ingredients made it taste even more bad.
