Get the Scoop — Restaurant in Belleville

I should have walked away when I was trying to read their menu that looked like it had been written by a kindergartner but I truly thought with the nice paint job that maybe they had small children that wanted to help. "Charry" ice cream, and blue raspberry sundae but the "raspberry" was 2 lines away with something written in between.

I got to the window and there was a man and a younger woman in there. Her head was anywhere but there, so I quickly muttered out a sundae for my mother and a simple dip cone for myself.

The $6 "specialty sundae" was a small single scoop of ice cream with Berry topping. No whip cream, nuts or cherry. The dip cone was equivalent of a McDonald's ice cream cone in size with a see through layer of dip, which was likely watered down to preserve product.

To top that off, there were two tables of small children and their parents, and a table of 12-13 year olds eating outside. After I paid, the two workers flew into an array of F bombs in front of all.

These are inbred yokels that need to go back to the corner of Alabama that they came from. Quickly. $13 for that slop. Didn't have the phone to take pics either. I am absolutely disgusted.

Edit: worth noting also that the majority of positive reviews seem to be coming from 4 years ago and on, after which there's a gap jumping to 7 months ago, so clearly different owners who need to get a new google account and stop piggybacking off the people who ran the...

On 6-6-23 we decided to visit for the second time. There were two men serving. I ordered 2 scoops. My curiosity for the almond joy gave me one scoop and black cherry was the other. I'm sitting in the car watching as my friend was approaching the counter. The young man that was giving her the ice cream tipped over my cup and the ice cream hit the outside counter and he gave it to her KNOWING it tipped over. I didn't say anything but I watched the older man clean up the ice cream. I immediately threw it away. The question is would you have served that to someone you knew? I told my friend I'd drive her there whenever she'd like, but I'm done. That was so unsanitary, and being a nurse all I saw in my head was bacteria. Get The Scoop is the most underrated, little, delicious ice cream shop in Belleville! They have so many options of ice cream types, flavors, toppings, and other lunch food items to choose from. The prices are also very reasonable.
