We were excited to go to Zeeks because of the excellent jazz band Tenderpile. We got there at 5:40pm on 4-30-2024 ordered pizza, salad and beverages. Place was pretty busy. People that ordered long after us began to get their pizzas as we waited and waited. 45 minutes into it I asked the lovely young waitress where was our salad and pizza. She said "We are very short handed, sorry." We asked her to please bring the salad to my Wife, Waitress came back, "What was the salad you ordered?" Hello did you not write down the salad on the ticket? Is there a ticket? 10 minutes later my Wife received salad. 40 more minutes went by before we finally got our pizza. Pizza was subpar at best. Incredibly long wait with management never offering any sort of recompense for our ridiculously long 1 hour 35 minute wait! Thank goodness the band was EXCELLENT! We will go back to see the band but we will eat before we get there. We will not be ordering the overpriced subpar pizza.
I am editing my review. After the above review, I got a call from the GM - Jacob. He explained to me that the kitchen staff was new and overwhelmed that night. He asked if we would give Zeeks another chance. I was so impressed with the fact that Jacob the GM would care about my little review enough to call me. If you ask me that is good business. My Sister and I went there tonight 5-14-2024. I am old I know that all of us can have a bad day. Our visit this time was excellent. Our server was Sophia, very lovely and attentive young lady with a big smile, excellent server. We ordered beverages and pizza "The Kitchen Sink" fresh veggies, the meats cooked to perfection with each bite a delicious amount of heat and the crust was exquisite. My Sister had a margarita it was excellent as well. I just want to tell everyone come to Zeeks the music, food and beverages 5*! Bring your family and friends enjoy Zeeks. Thank you Jacob for the call we are so happy we came back. Last visit was an anomaly this is what you can expect when you...
Read moreWe chose to eat here tonight because it was my husband's birthday. We wanted to try a bunch of different pizzas, so we ordered 3 large pizzas that were each half and half. The 17" pizzas ran $28-37 I think, or somewhere close to that. We had some of the buffalo wings before, and they were really good. I think we got about 8 wings for $16.50. The cocktails were expensive ($10... But I'm not really a drinker, so I may be off in what to expect to pay) and pretty small, but they were good. The service was good. The atmosphere was nice, but they do live music, so it made it hard to hear each other for part of the time. The pizzas were delicious! We tried the kitchen sink, the legion of shroom (my personal favorite!), The buffalo chicken one (I can't remember all of the names 🤦), the cherry bomb (my husband's favorite), the barbecue chicken one, and the Thai one with meat. They were all really good! And if you like to spice them up a bit, ask for the hot honey. When all was said and done... Tax, tip and all, it ended up costing us $200. WAY more than we would normally spend on pizza. That being said, we could easily have gotten 2 large pizzas for the 5 of us and still had leftovers. We will definitely eat here again, and would definitely recommend it, but expect to pay for...
Read moreWe've given Zeek's three attempts. First time our pizza was undercooked, the mushrooms were fresh, as if the were added late (it would help if the menu specified fresh mushrooms). There was extra crust, very little sauce, very few toppings. Our bill came to $60+ for two drinks and a medium pizza.
Second time, one person had a gift card and we had two different orders (one person had tried to use the app - the order was never recieved). We asked the bill be split. The waitress agreed to split the bill, and came back having charged the entire amount to one person, with multiple print outs.
Third time, again, we tried to used the app to order, it didn't go through. I stood in line for the counter and the bar staffed addressed the man behind me first. It was $28+ for a medium with extra crust, next to no sauce, very little cheese or toppings. The pepperoni was visibly over cooked. To make matters worse, we were there for the trivia and throughout the evening someone kept turning up the music making it very difficult to hear the trivia.
I agree with several of the other 1 & 2 star reviews. I wish it were better. Far too expensive for bland pizza with hardly any sauce...
