This park is home to huge old trees of many different varieties; trees that I've rarely seen locally. Beech trees, locusts, giant oaks, maples and elms and so many more that I don't know. City of Bellingham Parks & Rec has a guide to the over 50 different types of trees here. It's a kind of a small area, one square block, but it's a marvel for any tree nuts out there.

Beautiful, park perfect for a meditative stroll. The also have a half-court for basketball, a couple tennis courts ( that's right TENNIS court! Not pickleball!) a tot playground and a gazebo for taking pictures or sheltering from passing showers. Great neighborhood park. Another Bellingham gem!

Great, very historic, neighborhood park that offers gorgeous old trees, a nice playground, tennis courts, summer music concerts and good dog walking opportunities, especially in the mornings. It could use a public dog poop bag dispenser for when owners are caught out empty handed!

Big park, set up in a square, surrounded by beautiful old homes. All the houses are very well cared for. There are a variety of people using this park. You will find dog walkers, runners, kids playing on the swing sets and workers from nearby businesses enjoying their lunch. And there are squirrels chasing squirrels through the tall, old trees in this park. If you stay long enough you'll hear the church bells ringing hourly from a neighboring church. This is a well cared for city park. I've only been here mid-days but have always felt very comfortable & safe. It's really a pretty...

Great Family Park located in the Columbia Neighborhood. Tennis courts, walking paths, jungle gym and lots of grass and trees. In the summer they have Summer concert Series and also They set up a big Movie Screen at the Gazebo where they will show Summertime movies!!!

Fun History Facts:

It was known as Public Park, City Park and Walnut Street Park before being named Elizabeth Park, Work began on the park in 1890 when it was cleared and grubbed. The park was named in honor of Mary Elizabeth Austin Roeder (1826-1897), Whatcom pioneer and wife of...

Elizabeth park is one if Bellinghams mystic natural wonders. In the fall and winter months theres a stillness that invites you to ponder life and relax as you walk around surrounded by trees. The summer is a bustling little honeycomb with local residents thay have chosen Bellingham as the ultimate backyard. I was lucky enough to spend time living in the neighborhood and it's one of my favorite parks.. I was told the trees were donated from New York and that's pretty...
