Cielito Lindo — Restaurant in Belmar

Went with friends who have been here before. We give 5 stars to our waitress Francesca, she was very welcoming, friendly, and could communicate with us (none of us speak the language so this was helpful) She made recommendations and we followed her lead. This evening, the jalapeno's were very mild so the dishes were not at all spicy but we added hot sauce so it was fine. Last trip the jalapeños were very hot so we didn't ask for anything to be kicked up if you will. We shared app's which were also very good and ordered a plate of sweet banana's that were fantastic! BTW, they were not on menu but they DO make them! Three people had the carnitas con rajas #54 the pork dish. They all enjoyed it. I had the mexican shrimp, this was very mild, but again the jalapeno's were not hot this trip. Last person had the steak. Thinly sliced grilled steak but he said it was tasty. Portions are generous, rice and beans are good. I think they can step up the seasoning but may be because the peppers were so mild. The main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because the night was a hot one and the air does not feel like it is on. Because of this, we had fruit flies around the table and back wall behind us. I would go back to try more dishes but on a much cooler evening to see if it makes a difference with the fruit flies.Very nice people is also a reason to go back,...

Called to order lunch for me and some of my co workers at 11AM today. The food didn't arrive until 12:35PM And we were missing three items. One of the orders was for Quesadillas Fritas which on the menu says it's $9.00, they only sent ONE quesadilla when it should have been THREE. They also forgot someone's sandwich and a side of pico de gallo that we ordered. We called back and told them we wanted the missing food and they said they could bring it to us "later". They show up at 2:30PM with two of the three missing items and the delivery driver has the nerve to tell me that he wants to see the other order slip because they only charged us for the one quesadilla that they brought us not the three that were supposed to come in the order. He expected me to pay him am additional $6 for the two quesadillas that were missing from the order, after I had already given him an $8 tip! Myself and my company will NEVER order from this business EVER AGAIN! Absolutely ridiculous that we had to wsit so long to get a partial order and get an attitude over $6 when...

The restaurant is colorful in nature inside and out. The thick wood tables and decor give you a true authentic mexican vibe. The menu has many options including veggie.

The server offered a pleasant greeting and after requesting our drinks got the chips and salsa out asap. This is a BYOB. Even with a lil language barrier she assisted and ensured our requests were met.

The complimentary salsa, verde and chips were tasty. We ordered the enchiladas. One veggie and one shrimp. Waiting for the food gave us enough time to enjoy the basket of chips/salsa and enjoy the environment and kill a few Corona's.

When the food arrived it was smoking and the optics where eye popping. It looked like a masterpiece and was worth the wait. The molé sauce was superb and kept me asking for more! The veggie came with red sauce on the side as requested and had the heat. Perfect tly cooked.

I did notice a few things on the menu that I would like to try so we will be back. This is not the average taco joint. It is a foodie...
