Beware!!! I’m a VERY POSITIVE reviewer and very rarely do I go out of my way to leave a bad review but the way I felt this place scammed and tried to justify it needs to be addressed.
We ordered 3 burritos. It was about 30 min from close so we felt it would be more respectful to get our food to go and eat at our hotel with our children rather than keeping them late. Simple requests for the 3 burritos like no rice and sour cream on the side and finalized our order with a large order of chips and salsa which comes with 3 salsas. Then asked if they had plates to go. So simple right!!!
Now this is where it all went south. When ringing things up my husband watched him add a random $1.50 charge. When asking for a receipt his machine now can’t produce one. He says we can walk around to see the charges. I asked what the $1.50 charge was and he said it’s for chips and salsa. I then showed him the $3.50 for the chips and salsa so he said TAXES! I showed him where the taxes are standard and showed it was a miscellaneous $1.50. NO ANSWER!!! So we just ignore it and try to move past it like it’s $1.50 but this felt weird. Why can’t you explain charges you charged???
My husband then asked for some salsa for the burritos and he started to argue that he already gave us salsa. The salsa he gave us was the salsa we paid for with the chips which comes with 3 containers. We then asked when you order burritos if you get salsas and the man said NO. Now we are just baffled. You don’t get salsa with a burritos!!!!!!! He said we had to pay for it if we wanted more. Ummmmm noooooo
At this point the man behind the counter was trying to take advantage of us and stated that this is a very expensive place to live so things cost more. If that’s the case then charge more don’t add charges you can’t explained and argue when customers ask for simple requests like salsa for a burrito. I don’t like to argue so I told him to put my food in the bag so we could leave. We took the $5 tip we left back. Just to make it very clear I live in Las Vegas and I understand when people take advantage of tourists. Your business should understand that if you don’t have saturated customers you won’t have a successful business.

Read morei LOVE this place! i live in the east bay and whenever i’m in the area i visit sometimes multiple times during my stay.
my issue: today i spent $33+ on three burritos and was given a half of a bag of tortilla chips. i understand this is an added bonus to the meal; however, when i asked for additional chips to accompany THREE burritos, i was told no, that i needed to actually purchase more chips as the manager would have an issue with giving more chips.
i find this to be a little absurd, as chips would come with each burrito had i purchased them separately. i was advised to call the manager to speak to him/her about the policy. the employee acted if i was incompetent and incapable of purchasing chips. the actions of the employee was a turn off to wanting to go back to the restaurant.
UPDATE: You don't really know how good the food is until you try the same dish at different restaurants. I've had the shrimp burrito at different places, but Coyote's shrimp burrito has a LOT more flavor and makes me come back again and again. Son still enjoys their super nachos with steak and my husband still loves their chicken fajitas. Whenever we want Mexican food, this is where we go. #################### My family loves the food here. I don't know why it took so long to try their food! My son loves their nachos with steak, I love the shrimp burrito, and my husband loves their chicken fajitas. We need to change things up but it's hard to pick something other than what you start craving for. Free chips and...
