Joe's Touch of Italy I shared their post about lunch specials a while back, but I’d never tried them. After driving by to pick up my son from school for two years, I decided that today was a great day to give it a go! We got an early dinner with a small pepperoni pizza, a small supreme w/o ham or sausage (it’s a cheaper version than building your own with everything else that comes on it), a large veggie pizza, garlic knots and the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious! Great char to the crust, great flavor, real bacon, spicy pepperonis, just overall great tasting food. Crust is a thinner crust that’s crunchy and chewy in all the right places. I’d only enjoy more cheese, but it’s a solid pizza. The garlic knots weren’t my fave, I like a little more yeasty doughiness, but the marinara is money! The egg rolls could use some onion and green pepper, but they were flavorful-a little over cooked, but good. I live off Union/Armstrong, and everything was still piping hot when it got home. This is our favorite pizza so far. And, we’ve tried a few. #SupportLocal #supportsmallbusiness

I’ve been a loyal customer of this pizza place for years because the quality has always been great. I’m not usually someone who complains, but the last pizza I received was very poorly made—it honestly looked like there was no effort put into it. I’ve had better quality from far less experienced cooks. When I called, the manager did issue a refund, but the way it was handled came across as ā€œnice with an attitude.ā€ I really hope the restaurant can get back to the standard it once had, because the quality has definitely gone downhill lately. A kid took a bite out of it before I saw it that was not from the place.. so I felt bad complaining and they asked if the rest of the food was good. I said it’s fine but now that I’m going into it the baked ziti is terrible. Everything is terrible. I’m done with it. Get ur last cook or close down, if u don’t care anymore. Trash food don’t buy it . It used to be awesome.

This pizza is outstanding! I'm from NYC and my pizza-expectations are low pretty much everywhere else. But this pizza blew me away. We ordered the deluxe and it was so full, so tasty and definitely the best pizza I've had outside of NYC ever. There's a cute little dough knot in the middle of the pizza to hold up the box (extra bread - yes please!) The pizza was still warm and the cheese still gooey. The delivery woman was so kind - our doorbell was broken and she had to knock (we didn't know). When I answered the door she apologized for ringing the bell so many times. I told her it seems to be broken and she apologized having to knock. She can bang the door down with a battering ram if she's bringing me this pizza!! The first of many orders to come! What a wonderful surprise!

Changing my previous 5 star review down to one.

We've been enjoying Joe's for nearly 5 years now and the food has been excellent. Sure, sometimes there could be minor inconsistencies, usually during busy times but we never received anything that was inedible.

That was until this weekend. We ordered a Stromboli and meatball sub for delivery. The delivery window estimate was 60-65 minutes so we were surprised when the food arrived in 30 minutes. The meatball sub only had two meatballs which had been sliced in half and barely any cheese. The sub roll hasn't been toasted. This is all inconsistent with our previous experiences.

The Stromboli dough was completely raw. The cheese inside hadn't even been melted.

We called the restaurant and told them about the Stromboli being raw and the person on the phone asked if we wanted to bring it back to have it finished baking. Mind you, this was a delivery order and I'm being asked to bring the food back so they can cook it properly? Also, no apology.

We say no, we'd like one remade and cooked property and delivered to us again and they agreed and asked that we give the driver the previous order. 90 minutes later nothing has arrives so we call to cancel the order a full two hours after the original order was placed. The same person answered the phone and when we request a refund she gets argumentative with us, saying they only had one driver and she told us this (she didn't) and they've remade it, they are just waiting for the driver to come back and pick it up. We again ask to cancel the order and for a refund. With as much attitude as she could muster she replies sure, she'll give us a refund and hangs up.

The driver arrives a few minutes later and we tell him we canceled the order and gave him both the original Stromboli and sub back. He apologized and we let him know it wasn't his fault, it was the food.

Based on other recent reviews it seems something changed with the business and we won't be ordering again. Everyone had a bad day from time to time but this last experience was something else.

Anyone who was a previous loyal customer of...

Five stars-easy. Joe's Touch of Italy is a really wonderful place for many reasons.

First off, I have actually had the joy and privilege of previously being an employee there, so i feel like i have some inside knowledge and am compelled to leave this review for people that are unfamiliar.

Two parts; one, the food is awesome. Fresh dough made in house daily- most often served thin like similar to new york style, but they also break out a chicago deep dish as special on occasion, and also offer a pan style pizza. So yeah, fresh dough made in house daily, delicious sauce made in house, cheese shredded in house, alfredo made to order...i mean here are just a few examples of how they go above and beyond and the result is some truly delicious, fresh, love/heart filled dishes. If you're looking for some delicious food you can not go wrong here!

Second part- the owners. Joe and Allison were an absolute pleasure to work for and as I've moved out of state onto different opportunities i often reminisce on my time working there and am very thankful for the great experience and happy memories. The customers are great and also contribute to these. Also all the people i worked with there- just wonderful people. This is a great, locally owned and operated place that really deserves the support. During my time there, not a day that went by that Joe and Allison weren't there working hard, taking care of customers, and providing a great work environment. They are two truly golden-hearted and highly dedicated people and i'm so glad I got to work with and for them.

Anyways yes i am gushing and rambling a bit but as stated- i just felt compelled because if this can help even one tiny bit they deserve it all and i'm glad for the...

WE LOVE JOE’S!!!!!!!! For a while there, we were ordering weekly! The food is always fantastic!! The customer service, even better! Before they started using doordash, if something was forgotten, the drivers were so courteous and would bring us our forgotten item on their routes back out on some of their busiest nights! One night in particular it was a forgotten 2 Liter soda… we were truly & totally fine without but Joe’s driver did their magic and went above & beyond!!

For my reasoning to finally leave review is we ordered pickup, the pizza was made wrong and two dressings were forgotten, (truly no biggie usually for us) except this time around, i am pregnant with gestational diabetes so i was REALLY looking forward to half the pizza we ordered to just be cheese, (one of the few times i can indulge) I called and said what happened, Joe’s did their magic, offered to make a medium cheese pizza (we only live right down the road so it was easy to go back out and pick up) and honestly, tonight has got to be the BEST cheese pizza i’ve ever had from here!! My other item i needed was the dressing (feta vinaigrette, HIGHLY recommend) for their greek salad, 10/10 one of my fave take out salads!!!

Anyway, we love Joe’s, it’s our favorite local pizza place!!!! So next time you are out in belmont or visiting belmont and wanting some pizza, order from...
