Corner Bar — Restaurant in Bemidji

After a disappointing encounter with the manager over at the Green Mill, our concierge at the Doubletree recommended we stroll over to the ol’ Corner Bar, which she said was within walking distance from us. Being a Sunday night at 9 pm, we obliged because we didn’t want to find ourselves cold and hungry in the confines of the Trees, two of them to be exact. I had me a PB&J burger, which literally knocked the stockings off my feet. Girlfriend enjoyed her cheeseburger as well. Thanks to Bailey at the Tree of Doubles for turning us onto the joint.

Also, dipping fries in grape jelly could be a thing. Omg. Try...

The food was excellent, the service was fantastic, but it is very much a bar for young people. It was incredibly loud and when someone kept whistling at top volume it made me want to cancel everything and leave. My group that I was with won't go back, not because of the food or service, just because of the atmosphere. I get that it is a bar and is subject to being noisy, but even at that it was exceptionally loud and I think there are better bars in town to go...

The bartender was great. She was very attentive to all the patrons. The Cheese bites were also great, but the club sandwich was less than great. Meat tasted fairly flavorless and seemed a little low quality. My wife’s hot dog was just ok, it was a little small. Fries were average.
