9/10 recommend! As we all know there are very few options that stick out for dining in Bennington/Hoosick Falls area. Well, this meal stood out. Why you may ask? Something I learned many years ago as a chef… K.I.S.S.-Keep It Stupid Simple (or super simple depending on where you learned it) Nothing here was over done or over complicated. Only reason it wasn’t a 10 was the service and atmosphere. The bartender needs to pay attention to all guests not just the regulars (least that’s what it seemed, maybe she just made new friends) Either way she was very friendly, just also very inattentive. The music was also a little sketchy, and the green light calling for food runners was right in my eyes, dining as the two top by the kitchen door.
Get comfy for the full review of food: The burger-hand packed cooked to perfection, seasoned well (meaning I can taste seasoning throughout, not just saturated with salt and pepper on the outside. It was the juiciest burger I’ve had from a pub in years. The fries were crispy, but not hollow inside, most importantly served hot. Loved the fact the sweet fries were also thick battered crispy, not just the thin cut ones that always come out soggy. The bacon was cooked on point; so it had a slight chew, you know that good meatiness of a bite, not chewy like fat or burnt “crispy” to hide poor quality. Everything else on the plate was delicious that’s just the high points.
Next the club, although this wasn’t my meal, I can already say I’d put it against any club in the area...first off it’s a beast of a sandwich, the picture doesn’t do justice. It made my half pound burger look small. Properly made with 3 slices of bread, mayo on each slice, bacon, lettuce and tomato on bottom half and turkey with lettuce on top half. Now, again this is about simplicity and great product selection. The bread wasn’t overly thick, but also wasn’t too thin. It was lightly toasted so it didn’t crumble as you tried to bite through it. The biggest compliment was my mom saying “This is really good turkey.” I’m not saying she’s a picky eater, but let’s say she knows what she likes. Again, her regular fries were hot and crispy.
Lastly-without drinks, and including an appetizer of potstickers this was only about $40!

Read moreKevin's is one of those hometown restaurants your proud to have in your town for their pure uniqueness. Their food can be a bit of a hit and miss for me. Although its always good. Their are times I like it better then others, however at the same time, if you come for a burger, you shouldn't be disappointed. Expect to spend about ten dollars a person when you come and don't be afraid to get their deserts. Recently got the cheesecake and almost engulfed it in one bite it was so good. A great thing about Kevin's is their location. It makes an INCREDIBLE place to take a date then go for a little walk around North Bennington before or after you eat. From what I've seen, Kevin's does have a great bar that is always filled with awesome people but I've always been one for the food. I would likely rate Kevin's at a 4 out of 5 stars if it weren't for their service, The service is always very helpful and kind and does a great job at keeping...
Read moreMy wife found this online as we were traveling through Bennington and we're looking for a new place to eat. We usually go to Madison Brewing which is nice but we wanted another option as Madison Brewing sometimes gets packed. The food was great and reasonably priced. I had a hot roast beef sandwich that was served french dip style except it was served on s crispy garlic bread hoagie roll and contained mozzarella instead of Swiss cheese. The au jus was home made and was not the least bit salty. They also roasted their own beef. It was truly delicious. My wife had a chicken parmesan sandwich and she was very happy. Neither one of us finished our sandwiches. They were extremely generous. They also have a nice dessert selection and a nice selection of beer on tap. A nice experience at...
