Arena Bar — Restaurant in Benson

Well this is a pretty fun and unique place it's like part yeehaw backwards redneck and part far out punk rock Arena there really is no real food here not that I have ever seen they do serve like I don't know maybe a burrito or a hamburger but it's not really a restaurant it's a bar I don't drink so what can I say but I have gone to a few I think one was Battle of the Bands about 6 years ago and it was all day local thrash New Roc far out bands really kind of cool actually for such a redneck place. And I did see a progressive rock band play here out of Sierra Vista and that was awesome. And I also saw when they have the big biker rally they have some bands that play some pretty good rock music and I even heard a lot of Pink Floyd during the biker rally so even though it is country and redneck if they find the audience they will play anything from progressive rock to punk to Classic Acid Rock live and it's a great place to have like a festival or any kind of gathering they have rodeos here they have a full Rodeo Arena that's why it's called the Rodeo arena bar and I tend to stay away from the rodeos cuz like man it is like not my scene man but they even have a circus here that visits with a big top a big giant big top circus large grounds to be honest with you I usually have fun when I go here make sure you are well rested and have plenty of sleep because this is the Party Zone it's the Woodstock of Benson Arizona they even have a pretty good I love Jesus they have a pretty good Cowboy Church there on Sunday morning to be honest with you it's a great Cowboy Church so I thought that was pretty cool too they're really open-minded here if you got something you want to do they'll usually...

First of all, the other reviewer sure seem like they have an axe to grind, because I've been going to the Arena Bar for more than 20 years and it's nothing like these other people describe. It's always been a fun, friendly place. Sure it's a cowboy bar, but it's also a place for just about anyone to come in and have a cold beer and a story or two. Everyone is welcome, whether you got there on a horse, a motorcycle, a truck or car. They put on Ropings, Tractor Pulls, Mounted Shooting and biker rodeos, etc...it's the only venue in Southern Arizona that consistently tries to entertain the patrons. A lot to be said for that. If you're making the pilgrimage to Tombstone or the like, do yourself a favor and pull in to the Arena when your in Benson. I live in Tucson and I make it a point to get by there a few times a month...it always feels like home when I get there. ...

I scheduled a wedding here for their banquet room, and 10 days before the event I called to be sure everything was set. The manager informs me that she accidently double booked the room for that day, that she will check into it and get back to me that evening. She didn't have the decency to call me back, I had to call her again the next day, and she informs me that I will have to find somewhere else for my wedding. And then she has the nerve to tell me "good luck"! Unbelievably irresponsible, unprofessional and rude, I can't possible rate this place low enough. I'm forced to give them 1 star because the ratings...
