We've lived in the same house in Montclair since 1986. The Burger King is part of my neighborhood, located at the corner of Raeford Rd and Brighton Rd. During the last 33 years, I would think that there would be more familiar faces, but apparently, there is no continuity or consistency. They must have a turn over of employees and the quality of a sense of caring for the customers, such as a sincere greeting, isn't reflected by most of the employees. As a matter of fact, our consumption of BK in general has significantly declined and changed throughout the years because of dietary restrictions and my grandchildren just aren't into BK anymore. If we are in the mood for BK, we prefer going to the BK at the corner of Skibo and Morganton because the employees are more considerate and gracious and engage with their customers. Why isn't that attitude reflected by my neighborhood BK? Another thing that concerns me is that there is a young man who does wear a BK uniform, green and brown, who goes door to door in Montclair, panhandling. His story, on a Tuesday, around Thanksgiving: "I work at the BK and will get paid on Friday I need $21.00 to get my mom a prescription. I'll pay you back on Friday." I generally rely on a debit card. That day I had $19.00, which was never returned. I didn't think it would be, but there was hope. He assured me that he would pay me back. On the Montclair Community Facebook page, he was described in his BK uniform, panhandling, but with a different shtick. BK can't be held responsible for his behavior, but they need to realize that someone is either representng himself as a BK employee or impersonating one. I don't know how current the green and brown uniform is. Anyway, in general, the quality of the BK menu has diminished throughout the years. The small burgers have a strange mouth feel, as if there is filler in them. According to my granddaughter, luke warm fries leave a greasy coating on the roof of her mouth. The Whopper just doesn't have that sense of all the condiments coming together as one to create their own "special" sauce. The Double cheese burger with bacon was greasy, cold, and the bun was stale. As I tried to eat it, the top bun was breaking apart. I didn't finish it because it was too sloppy. I was driving and it was too distracting to try to keep the Burger together. I bought that one two weeks ago at the Gillespie Street location. Again, the cashier there was personable and interacted with me. She liked my gloves. My BK doesn't offer that sincere interaction on a consistent basis. Once in a while, an employee will say something kind and it's appreciated. My point is that there is a lack of consistency and quality control from shift to shift, and none among the various locations. You can't always have it "your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a double cheeseburger, an impossible burger, one chicken sandwich, two ice cream cones, and one oreo shake through the app. Ice cream machine was "down" so they couldn't make the cones or shake, they offered cookies instead. Chicken sandwich couldn't be made unless they used a potato bun (pictured), so I accepted that substitution too. Get my food home and the impossible burger is burnt, the chicken sandwich was made with clearly old and wilty lettuce (pictured)(I worked in food service, I know what fresh lettuce looks like), and I have four cookies in place of the ice cream and shake that I wanted. So what did they get right? Well I'm not sure because my 12 year old ate the double cheeseburger and she'll eat just about anything. Really unhappy with how long we had to wait in combination with how poor the food was in combination still with how much it costed. I dropped $25 on sandwiches and a treat for three, and they got none of it right in 20 minutes of waiting. It's not affordable, it's not fast, and it's not good quality, so what is it? It was an unpleasant experience, and it reminds me why I don't go to Burger King. McDonald's can charge what they do these days because people would rather have McDonald's (literally McDonald's) than this overpriced wanna be fast food. Just go across the street and wait for decent food. McDonald's can't be that bad compared...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here past midnight. The manager was so rude at the intercom and when asked for her name and number to corporate she told me there was no corporate and gave me a fake name. I knew she gave me a fake name being that her coworker called her another. She had an attitude from the moment I came following I was having issues with my gift card. She then proceeded to give me stale fries to be humorous. I was told I couldnāt use my $5 gift card because it had already been used however Iāve never used it. She tried to tell me that I used it when the gift card was recently purchased. She tried to question me on why I have a gift card ? I tried to explain to her that it may be because my total was more than the gift card however it should have lessened my total. She told me it was already used. I asked if she could try it once more and she displayed attitude by saying ādo I have X-ray vision ? Am I supposed to see from here?ā After this terrible experience I went ahead and placed my order on a mobile app with a total less than the gift card and it worked. This is disgusting behavior and I wonāt...
