El Charro Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Benson

My DH and I have been to this restaurant many times and loved it. The tacos were great with homemade shells. This time it was so bad we couldn’t eat it. We order burritos without sauce or cheese and got ma fajita wrap loaded with cheese on the outside. The tacos were awful. I told my DH how great they were. NOT this time we got tacos with too sweet meat and store bought shells from a box, The person who took my order didn’t seemed to understand what I was ordering or what was on the menu. I’m so sad to say we will not be going here again!! *UPDATE: I called and talked to the manager who didn’t seem to care. I explained about our experience and she said they were short staffed and trying to train new people. I told her I understood but what about the food? She said that it was their usual cook. Then there was silence and then she said she would talk to the staff! No let me refund your money or get you something else. Most of our dinner ended up in the garbage. These folks go above and beyond to make your visit amazing. From the service to the food! And not to be rude but to the lady “Glenda hall” who left a review before me she’s trolling it’s not pizza or marinara sauce at all. All of their sauce is homemade and authentic which is their recipe. Infact everything is homemade. This lady going out of her way to write that is disgusting behavior. Glenda you can order a burger of your taste bud palate is that dull. I’ve never had a bad experience eating here infact I prefer this place over every Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. I’ve never had a complaint about the food or anything and my orders are so complicated bc I make it that way I add things and I want my stuff put a certain way and it’s never been served wrong and it always taste amazing and the service is fast. Went here for a family night out with my family and in laws terrible experience for everyone at the table messed our food up a bigger group than us that came in about 10-15 minutes after somehow got their food a good 20 minutes before us. Our food didn't come out all together like my husband got his skillet (it was wrong, same problem for the in laws) had to wait 5-7 minutes for the tortias that came with it and another 5 or so minutes for the toppings that went with it each thing I had to ask about before it was brought. Went to check out and they couldn't even get that right mother in law checked out before us and when we went to check out they were trying to charge us for 4 drinks (we only got 2). They called the waitress up and she comes up and places her hand on my back (in really funny about my personal space being 8 months pregnant it made me really uncomfortable) tells them oh no they had 2.
