Wake and Bake — Restaurant in Benson

I was so impressed with everything we tried the first time we went to Wake and Bake, I planned to leave a 5 star review but I didnt have my phone and it slipped my mind. We had the opportunity to go to Wake and Bake for a 2nd time recently and we were every bit as impressed as we were the first time. This place absolutely rocks! Everything we've tried is amazing, truly. The lattes were fantastic, I had an oatmilk latte with extra shots (no syrup) and my bf had a whole milk latte (no syrup). The espresso comes from a roaster in arizona, I wish I could remember the name of the comoany because it was super good. On our first visut we tried the peach upside down cake- I didnt think I would really like it but it was one of the best sweets I've had, we plan to order a whole cake next time we will be in the area. We also tried the peanut butter cheesecake with oreo crust- it was really creamy and not too sweet. That one piece was more than enough for 3 of us to split. The key lime pie was honestly as good if not better than the key lime pie I have had in Key West! I will find an excuse to order a whole pie eventually, it was incredible. On our 2nd visit we again had lattes (again they were very good), and this time we had breakfast and dessert. We split a chorizo and potato breakfast burrito, it was delicious!! We'll definitely get that again next time. We also got a mini banana cream pie that was exceptional. I would give Wake and Bake 6...

I had heard great things about this place but hadn't made it in until today. Everything I heard was not only true, but fell far short of describing just how wonderful their baked goods are.

I purchased an oatmeal cranberry cookie, a peanut butter cookie and a pineapple upside down cake (single serve). I deliberately went late in the day. We know things are going to be good and taste fresh when they first open. The true test is when it's just as fresh as it gets closer to closing. I was not disappointed. I almost forgot to snap a pic of the cranberry oatmeal cookie before scarfing it down. Yes, it was that good! It was packed with cranberries and practically melted in my mouth. The pb cookie melted away too. The upside down cake was the best I've ever had outside of home.

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful when I asked questions about the products. I can't wait to go back! I recommend you run and try some delightful baked goods...

I'm new to Benson and was walking my dogs. I saw the bakery and figured I'd try them out. I tied my dogs outside and went in. There was one other customer there. I ordered a ham & cheese turnover and an apple turnover. The 2 employees were talking to each other and service was slow, so I jokingly mentioned I had 2 dogs waiting on me outside & they were probably scaring people. The 2 employees gave me an exasperated look. Got my order, I had to ask for a bag to put them in. Took them home. The ham and cheese though cold was excellent! The apple turnover was not apple but cherry. Luckily I don't hate cherry, but I was disappointed bc I wanted apple. Maybe if they were interested in the customers instead of their conversation, they might have gotten my 2 item...
