Due to dietary restrictions, all of the entrees on the menu included proteins I could not have (ie no white meat chicken). I saw there was a grilled cheese on the kids menu so I asked my waitress if they had an adult version. She explained that no they just had a kids version and they couldn’t make it for me because it was 12 & under and they actually lose money on it so they can’t sell to adults. She tried to be helpful and suggest other menu options like the burger or bone-in wings, but nothing she recommended would work for me. I tried explaining that there was nothing else I could have and asked if there was any way she could charge more for the grilled cheese and she said she would check, but she never got back to me with an answer. The rest of my tables food showed up so I took that as a no but would have appreciated a confirmation from my waitress that she had checked, but besides that she was nice and helpful. My table liked their food and I enjoyed the fries we got as an appetizer so I’m sure the majority of people will have a good experience. This review is solely from my experience and to help the people who have similar food restrictions/preferences as me.
Response to restaurant response: You have chicken but not white meat chicken from what I read on the menu and the waitress did not give any white meat options. I understand your reasonings, as stated above my sole reason for this review was for people like me to read so they don’t make the same mistake in going to a restaurant that won’t accommodate them as I did. Like I said, the majority of people will probably like this restaurant, but this review isn’t for them.
Instead of making excuses for every single 1 and 2 star you receive, maybe accept that you’re not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay. All I’m reading from your responses are excuses for why you’re not accommodating and why things are the way they are. It’s your restaurant, you’re able to do whatever you want and I agree there are too many restrictions/accommodations in the world and that’s hard for a restaurant, but potential customers have the right to know all this via reviews going in. I appreciate you thinking it’s the best restaurant known to man and you have an excuse for everything, but it’s off putting to some.
Yet another response: so your first response said “we can’t accommodate everyone” and now your response is saying that I said I “didn’t like” anything on the menu and it wasn’t an allergy problem. I’m sorry your waitress misunderstood “no none of these options will work for me” with “I don’t like anything on the menu”. When I asked about white meat options, she suggested chicken wings, I asked if it was white meat or if they were bone in, she said bone in (which is dark meat). She did not offer any white meat options after I asked.
Obviously by the way you responded on a public forum, asking for a manger/calling the restaurant wouldn’t have done anything. And if this is how you react to one negative review in public, I don’t even want to know how you would have responded privately. I was not expecting feedback as that’s not the point of a review. the point of a review is one person giving their honest opinion about their own experience so potential customers can have all information (good and bad) before making a decision. But if it makes you feel better at the end of the day to give feedback to all reviews, more power to ya Lieutenant 🫡
Oh hi again! Isn’t this so fun? I just love reading every excuse you come up with, it’s so entertaining. You obviously get your feelings hurt when people don’t like your restaurant 🥲. I can also defend my experience just as you can defend your restaurant, even if that...
Read moreThe food and service were very good, the atmosphere was okay, but the beer selection and the cocktails were great! We shared the fried mozzarella appetizer, which was the special that evening. It was a good-sized portion, and the marinara complimented it nicely. It had just the right amount of breading to give a perfect crispy exterior to counter the soft, puffy mozzarella on the inside. We sampled two different cocktails, and they were both delicious. We also had Social Project Brewing Company's Hazy IPA, and it was fantastic. I was impressed with the service because there was always someone to cover for our server when she was busy. We never went without drinks, and when we ordered them, they were delivered promptly. I thoroughly enjoyed the smash burger. Two patties, cheese, homemade pickles (I believe), and a wonderfully soft bun. I loved the portion of the fries as I tend to eat a lot, however; the seasoning on them reminded me of a bbq seasoning, and it's not what I had envisioned. They were still good, but they just caught me off guard a bit. My wife had the mezze. She enjoyed the medley of flavors and was surprised at how much she enjoyed the rice. I was surprised by the delicious flavors when I tried a bite, too. Here's the catch: everything was really good, but the prices were simply too high for quality of food and the atmosphere. When I pay $18 for a hamburger, I expect to be dreaming about having it again. Unfortunately, I did not feel the experience justified the prices. Just my opinion, though I would still recommend you give it a try as there's good food, drinks, and...
Read moreHeard about this place from an article stating their fries are in the top 5 of NWA. Although I found their fries to be unique and tasty, I would give more credit to their burger. It's a delicious double smash burger with Americans cheese, garlic pickles and caramelized onions. (We subbed the American cheese with cheddar and got the onions on the side. We split meals. I don't like onions, but my hubs does. ) The burger was juicy and had a lot of flavor. Although the toppings were good, this burger could have stood on it's own in the flavor category. Good size too! The fries are a thin cut fry with what looked like Cajun seasoning, but wasn't. Instead it had a slightly sweet taste which was refreshing being that they were original. Nate was our server and was everything you could ask for...friendly, attentative, informative and quick. We get out of work late and didn't get there, until 8:30pm. Being close to closing time, they weren't very busy. We got seated right away and the burger was quick in coming out. Nice and fresh. Left by 8:50. Definitely, will be going back. Their location us a little more quiet and I hope it doesn't affect their business, but I wouldn't let that stop you. We hope they stay around for...
