Came here for lunch and got a couple of lunch slice specials (slice and pop)... Pizza was above average. We in turn asked for a taste of the vodka sauce listed. One of the most flavorful sauces I have tried.

Decided based on the vodka sauce... We had to try the spaghetti carbonara and the vodka penne with breaded chicken cutlet meals.

Seriously folks... of all of my travels and tastes... This is hands down the best spaghetti carbonara I have ever ate. The pasta was a perfect al dente. The bacon was very tasty. The parmesan was a perfect addition. Just a simply done dish made perfect.

The vodka penne with the breaded chicken cutlet had the most wonderful texture and phenomenal flavor. Again the pasta a perfect al dente. The sauce hung on the pasta with the proper consistency for coating.

These two dishes moved the needle for me at this location that after my second visit (both the same day) I asked for permission to take photos in the kitchen of Chris who made these dishes.

In addition to all of the 'food' done right... I spoke to the leaders (not management) of this place and the way they choose to do what needs to done (ingredients, employees, customer service, etc) makes me a permanent supporter of this restaurant.

Are you kidding me?! This place is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Detroit style? American style? New York style? There is something for everyone! We ate here two days in a row - it's THAT good! Unique pizzas that are the perfect mix of flavorful and different + the classics that are perfection. Even my normally picky kiddos LOVED it and wanted more. So stop reading this review and go GET SOME PIZZA! Thanks for amazing food and all your hard work, Upriver Pizza! Can't wait to visit the Frankfort area again...

Very nice surprise at Upriver Wood Fire Pizza.

Pizza was very good. Made with good ingredients all around. If I made any suggestion it would be to cook slightly longer, or ask for well done. Like all Wood fire pizza you want to eat while it’s warm/hot.

Even bigger surprise was the Caesar salad. Home made dressing, and home made croutons. Better than many Caesar salads we have had in restaurants. Soo good.

So impressive, and such an amazing idea. We stopped because we couldn’t find anything to eat within a 30 min radius. Couldn’t believe while we were ordering, we watched as the dough was being hand-tossed. The ingredients are as local as possible.. the details these guys put into this SHOW. All the options of a full blown pizza joint, in a quirky lil truck. Absolutely loved it. Corn hole while you wait!

Excellent food and service from one of the wonderful co-owners, Jody. Loved both the New York style pizza and Detroit style pizza--come here for real NY thin crust pizza! Best Greek Salad in the Midwest - fresh and full of delicious olives, artichokes and red peppers! Can't wait to try the pasta dishes next time.
