Simply the worst store management ever. I am a health care practitioner with experience in the field and interacted with a bunch of pharmacies. The staff is rude, incompetent and frankly doesnât care about the customers. Being a Berkeley Heights resident, and the convenient location of the store, gave them several chances. But it keeps getting worse.
Here are the most appalling experiences:
Bought a 100$ gift card for a friend. Turned out there was no money on it. When I reached out to the store, first they asked me to come back with the receipt (seemed like they didnât want to deal with it). Upon presenting the receipt, they said nothing could be done and I need to reach out to Amazon or lodge a formal complaint to their corporate. I wrote on their customer service site but never heard back. Lost my 100 bucks and more importantly left with a bad taste.
Following successful scheduling of vaccine appointment for my 81 year old parents, when we showed up for the appointment, were told that they donât carry the vaccine. Upon asking, they said appointments booked through the online portals are not their responsibility even though the store called me that morning to confirm the appointment. Had to take my partially mobile parents home and schedule another appointment (did that with a different CVS).
Refilled a prescription for my father. The package should have included transmitter and sensors for 90 days. The pharmacy forgot to order/include the sensor in the package. I realized it upon opening the package while on a visit to India. When I went to the store and requested for the refill, the tech had no clue and the pharmacist declined saying I should have come back sooner and it is not their fault that refill was missing. All they were able to do was to order my next round of refill. But I lost 3 months of supplies in the process despite paying for it. Moreover the unapologetic staff made me feel guilty for their error.
Frankly, I donât trust the staff at this point, and looking at other reviews, wonder about their business ethics. I would give them negative 5 stars if I could.
The corporate team needs to investigate the store operations and its performance if they take the...
Read moreI am giving a 5 Star review based solely on my experience with Bob on Wednesday, 6/26. If he had not stepped in to help, I would be giving 0 stars. I picked up an antibiotic on 6/25 and my toddler was refusing to take it. I brought her back to the doctor and she prescribed a more concentrated version so only very little had to be taken and only once a day. When I went to pick it up, an extremely rude womanâshe had a ponytail and glassesâtalked to me like I was an idiot and like she couldnât be more exasperrated with having to deal with me. She kept telling me âyour insurance is not going to cover this because you picked up the exact same medication yesterdayâ. I tried to explain that it was not the same. And what was different about it. Like I was an idiot, she kept saying âit is exactly the same. Just give her less. Youâre just giving her 4mLs instead of 7mLs.â Again, I tried to explain WHY it was a different dosage. That it was a more concentrated medication. She huffed and puffed âIâm TRYING to explain this to you.â And then as if I wasnât right in front of her, she says to another employee âcan you explain this to her?â He, Bob, confirms that I was correctâit was a different medication. He apologized for the misunderstanding. She did not and just gave me a dirty look. I understand that we are all overworked and stressed and that working at the pharmacy can be a thankless job. But a little kindness goes a long way. Not only was I dealing with a sick child, I had just had to put my beloved dog down. A simple âlet me double check thisâ would have been so helpful and she would have seen that she indeed was mistaken. Even an âIâm sorryâit actually is a different medicationâ would have also been great. Thank you, Bob, for stepping in and helping me get the medication I needed...
Read moreI am a senior citizen and had the worst possible experience with the store manager (Initials: KB). I am surprised that she is still there given that there are so many other complaints about her below. I had an issue related to a refund and was not able to sort it at the checkout counter. The staff there asked me to speak with the store manager. I left my phone number multiple times with the staff but didn't receive call back from the manager, I was told that it is typical of her not to call back customers and the representative at the counter asked me to call on the day the manager would be at the store and said that he would transfer the call. I was finally able to speak with KB but even before I could narrate the issue, she interrupted me multiple times and asked to call the 1800 number for CVS. This was frustrating but I called the 1800 number. The representative there told me that they cannot resolve the matter and this is a simple matter and the store manager should be able to handle it. I called the 1800 few more times and spoke with different representatives and got the same message. Frustrated, I called KB again (was not easy to get hold of her). As I am explaining to her my situation and what the staff at 1800 numbers told me, she put me on hold saying that she has to attend to a different call. I was on hold for over 20 mins. With I on hold, I drove to the store and found that she was busy arranging the shelves while I was on hold. I confronted here her again. She was blunt and rude and said that I should take my business across the street (to Walgreens). All this unfolded in front of other customers watching. In any other corporation, manager like this...
