Women's Faculty Club — Restaurant in Berkeley

This is my favorite place to meet up with friends on campus. The WFC is a gem of a cafe and so very different from the Mens Faculty Club. It is filled with natural light, stained glass and with lovely views of the surrounding trees and garden. The menu has lunch specials that change weekly, but my go-to lunch is the salad buffet. This includes an assortment of salads and casseroles, mostly vegetarian, that keep me interested in trying a little of each dish. And the tea! They serve loose-leaf pots of tea that really make for an enjoyable ambiance--try the African Nectar (rooibos). Feels like you're having an exclusive experience when dining here. You can only get in with a member, or by being a member. The food selection is limited and not especially exceptional or flavourful, but the menu changes daily so I may have gone on a 'simple' day. Service is fair but personable.
