Halal!! Not sure what to make of this place; food was good; we had the Papadi chaat: not bad; the papas was a bit hard; and there Saturday special: Chicken 65 Calupa: very tasty; the chalup is like a thick puri and the small mango cubes were a good touch Atmosphere: very small tables and not enough for even 3 people; they also done do a good job of cleaning after someone leaves; it’s up to you to do it; There is no service as you have to order on kiosk and menu is a bit confusing…

They have clearly marked vegan options which is awesome! And they give decent portions (entrees and chaat) at student-friendly prices. The inside has very little seating (2 tables) and there's maybe a couple tables outside, so you should plan to get takeout here instead of dine-in. Also my order for 2 took a while to make (15-20 min?) on a weekday evening, so maybe order a bit in advance.

My favorite lunch stop in Berkeley! I always get the paneer tikka masala with white rice, all veggies, and mint chutney. It’s the best filling meal you could probably have in the vicinity. I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic in terms of flavor and spice combos, but it’s immensely better than all other lunch places in Berkeley.

Food is very good. Went here all summer with my friends. Had some negative experiences lately though - not sure what's been happening. I always order through snackpass and my friend, who I took there for the first time, got the first-time order discount. The guy there looked at the snackpass ticket and questioned us like we were trying to scam them. Eventually he relented as we showed him our receipts and the snackpass promotion. Afterwards, he seemed to stand there idle as if to pass time, even though he was running the front counter and food assembly. Others came in the store, ordered, and got their food as we continued to wait. Eventually, 30 minutes had passed and he finally asked "Are you waiting for food?" It was then that he started assembling our order. We finally got our food after standing in the store for 45 minutes and had to rush to eat as we had a rehearsal afterwards. Not the experience that I had over the summer, but it's bad enough for me to not...

I would recommend the butter chicken wrap if you’re an omnivore. The naan is made fresh in front of you, and you get to choose your own toppings. The onions and cilantro are a must, they bring the rich makhani sauce to life with little aromatic explosions, and if you like spice there’s jalopenos too. The chicken has a varied texture, there’s tender bits and crispier bits, you won’t get bored eating it. Spring mix is an option, and though I’ve never seen it in Indian food, it works very well for texture and flavor. The chutneys to top it off will bring you down to flavor town. There’s Tamarind (sweet), Mint (moderately spicy), and...

My #1 favorite place to get lunch in Berkeley. Fast and friendly service, large servings, ability to customize, good value and healthy food choices. The chicken tandoori is my favorite, though I also highly recommend the saag and mushroom dishes. Unlike most lunch places around here, I am actually full after eating a meal from Xpression. This is mostly a take-out place, though there is some seating for those who can't wait to eat! I come here several times per week, I just...
