Classic Mex joint but with very affordable options. Got the 2 taco plate (carne asada). Came with plenty of whole beans and rice. Also came with some chips. It all tasted great. It's a good deal for under $13. Only issue I have is that the tables in the courtyard seem to always be somewhat dirty (Like food/drinks were spilled and simply wiped with a wet towel).

i got the super quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious. amazing cheese pull + huge portions. i wasn’t able to eat the whole thing. the prices were very reasonable (around 10 dollars for my meal). i ate outside on the benches. the food came out very quickly and the area was very chill vibes. would definitely go again.

I am so happy the place across the street is closed. The "Hella Good Deal" is really a HELLUVA GREAT DEAL! I'm not sure where the recipe is from. But I would eat this again and again. But then, I'm Crazy Patrick from Terrebonne, Oregon. Google Smith Rock State Park.

After coming here for 22 years, it has finally fallen to the point I won't be back. Even after graduation, if I was passing through Berkeley I always made a point of stopping at La Burrita. Those days are over. Brought a friend for a quick lunch and to show off my favorite old spot. Got two wet burritos, and two sodas. Chips are no longer from the self serve area by the sodas, so I asked for some chips. The guy behind the counter shrugged and said "no tip?" and didn't give any chips. Sure I could have said "come on, I've been coming here since I was 18, can I please get some chips??" And I'm sure I would have gotten them. But just that attitude made me say screw it and move on. When we finally got the wet burritos, they weren't very hot. Overall was "eh" and not something to introduce your friends to. And the bill was something like $36 for two burritos and two sodas. Also, tables and atmosphere was pretty dirty and dingy and just sad. I'll miss my old la Burrita memories, getting 3-4 burritos a week as a college kid. And back then I did tip a dollar even as a low budget kid on a $6 burrito, but with how bad the place looked I wasn't feeling it and I guess my...

Taste: 2 Value: 4 Service: 3

I've been here way too many times, probably nearly twenty times over the course of the last 3.5 years? The only reason I know is because I've used up one of their frequent buyer cards, if not two.

It's cheap, and it's close by since it's at Northside. I haven't gone back for a while, and two days ago I decided to drop by since I wasn't in the mood for La Val's and was out of cash.

Unfortunately, their burritos still taste the same (pretty mediocre and somewhat bland), just like how I always remembered them. I actually felt kind of sick after eating about half of my burrito, but I guess it's because I was just really tired of their food. Almost positive I won't be going back ever again. I'd just rather grab a sandwich from La Val's if I'm out of cash in the future.

I usually get the shredded chicken burrito or grilled pollo burrito, both of which are okay. The portions are smaller than Chipotle, but you do get bottomless chips and salsa if you dine in. If you get it to go, you can ask for a bag for chips/salsa. They're fast with making the food, so wait times are...

This place is a solid 4 stars. Not the best burrito ever made, it doesn't have an evangelical following, but a I'm always happy to eat here. Like I'd never say "oh, I'm only 20 minutes from that place, so I'll wait even though I'm starving" but if someone asks if I want to go to La Burrita, I don't worry that I just ate there yesterday so I'm not ready to go back.

The bottomless chips...
