In THIRTY-TWO YEARS, I've never had a negative experience at this location until today. Going to the drive-thru, my mom saw a 2 fo $5 sign. I asked about it at the window, but told the manager we would be in so that we could get better clarity on what's part of the deal. We go in and ask the same manager about the deal, and she points to the sign at the window. In the meantime, I tried to go to the restroom, but there was no toilet tissue.
When I came back to the front, the manager was asking my mother if she wanted the meal and I couldn't understand why. After she said the total, I asked which sandwich was ordered and she told me it was one that was not part of the deal. I told her to change it to the one that was. When I saw the receipt, I was very confused about what happened and asked how it rang as a meal instead of the special. She explained at that point that a medium drink and fries are part of the special, not a small and a large.
I was very confused, understand where the miscommunication happened. And she barked "you cant have a refund!" I clutched my necklace and told her I wasn't asking for a refund. Not at all. I was simply trying to understand how there was a communication breakdown. She said that we have to request the deal. I reminded her that we had, twice. I was just trying to explain that if my mother said something that wasnt part of the deal (as it was the whole point of us coming in) she could have simply informed her. That's all.
She barked again about what's not her job and told me I could file a complaint with the general manager. Again, I clutched my necklace. Like, complaint?? I'm literally just trying to have a human conversation. I told her I was only saying that for future reference, within this whole context, just tell the person what is or isn't part of the deal if they let you know that's what they want.
At this point, my mom asked for the shift manager, and this hostile woman, of course, revealed that she herself was the shift manager.
I understand that food service cant be an easy job, and had no intention of complaining or even taking the time to write something like this. But the hostility from that woman was unbelievable.
She didn't want to be bothered. She didn't really care. And, the way she told me to contact the general manager, I can only assume that the GM doesn't care about the lack of professionalism from their managers, either.
Thirty-two years.... my family will...
Read moreThe most rude establishment I have ever been in. Bought coffee for a group of homeless people that were trying to keep warm in there on Christmas Eve and started talking to them about their situation when I observed the night manager come in and lock the bathrooms and tell a fellow employee 'were getting these dirty MF out of here.' One of the people I was talking to explained to me that particular manager does that all the time and has no problem verbally abusing them and calls the Police to have them thrown out almost every night. For the record, all these people had coffee in front of them and had been buying food the whole time I was there and were very polite. Well being there for awhile and drinking coffee I needed to go to the bathroom. Based on what the homeless people had told me I went up to the men's bathroom door, I did observe the sign on both bathrooms that said sorry for the inconvenience bathroom is out of order. I checked the door and it was unlocked so I went in checked the toilet which was in working order and so I proceeded to do my business. At that time I got a very rude and constant loud bang on the door and screams of 'GET THE F___K OUT OF THERE' I guess at that moment I became homeless. I came out and he began to verbally abuse me and threatened to call the police for breaking into the bathroom. I very politely apologized for going in the bathroom and he shouted back 'I don't care get the f___k out. At that time I said fine and my wife and I proceeded to put our coats on while we were walking to the front door. We stopped by the front door to put our gloves on before we stepped out and the manager ran up to us and started to scream "I told you to get the f out I'm calling the Police'! I tryed to explain to him that he was very rude and a a representative of Burger King and that his actions would not be tolerated by his superiors and on that he replied at least I have my own bathroom, get out while he was on the phone with the police dept.I told him I wasnt homeless that I was trying to help some unfortunate people and he replied 'yea right'. This Burger king is so dirty and out of date and I'm sure not up to Burger king standards, that it should be updated and have new employees who are customer friendly. THAT BURGER KING IS A...
