There were only 4 customers ahead of me (3 sitting and 1 takeout) averaging 10 min per order, and even the Casher just stood there and watched instead of help expedite the orders…. When I finally got frustrated after 40min and demanded my food or a refund at the 45min mark, I didn't get a Sorry or Thank you for your patience. The reply was "Only the manager can give your money back" said with attitude. I hope that the Owners read this because the food is good and please take actions to save their investment. 1st visit: Grand Opening, Unknowlagable about their Mexico City / D.F. items on the menu, no big deal they just opened. 2nd visit: Very slow service for a Burrito 3rd visit: 45min!!!!??? :( 4th visit: NEVER HAPPEN, I can drive to my favorite taco joint (De Pasada Taylor st., Chicago) and make it home...
This place used to be notoriously bad to most people that live nearby. Recently they came under new ownership and the food is great now, so I have been stopping by around once a week for a couple weeks now. Recently however every time I’ve gone they have been closed on random days unrelated to their posted schedule. Today I was in the area and they had an open door with a lit up open sign so I decided to stop for some food. When I went inside the cashier was sitting down eating food, so I apologized and asked if I should come back later. She said “No.” and kept eating while staring at me. I was confused so I asked if they were open and she said “No, we’re closed today.” I said “Sorry, my bad” and turned to leave, and the cashier responded with “It certainly is.” and laughed like I was some rude jerk for walking into a seemingly open restaurant. Read moreI have dined in a few times and also ordered delivery and I wanted to give this place a chance but NOPE! So every time I eat from here my husband and I start feeling the REGRETS on why did we do this AGAIN?! We wanted to know for sure if it was just us or the actual food. I believe that they cook their food with oil or lard that made us upset YUCK! Also, when I went to to dine in the girl who takes the orders got the orders all messed up, she gives you attitude also just to make things better GREAT! The young guy who works in the front is way better I might say. ;( I notice the south side never has good Mexican restaurants, if they were good they all fall off and get greedy and start using cheap ingredients and quality is no longer the exception.
