Off The Traxx — Restaurant in Berwyn

IF I COULD GIVE IT SOMETHING LESS THAN ONE STAR I WOULD! This is the absolute worst bar I have ever been to. I've gone to several local bars/ restaurants around the area as well as in the city and i've never been treated as bad as this bar. As an owner myself I have to say, Todd (bar owner) your bartender Stephanie is a huge liability to your business. Let me tell you about my awful and appalling experience (to say the least) with Stephanie and your door man. I arrived at around 10 pm to grab a drink with a friend. It was a Friday night making it busy but not uncontrollably busy. I waited 10 min to get the bartender (Stephanie's) attention, she asked me to wait with my order since there were other customers in front of me, I found it understandable. I waited another 10 min, she told me once more to wait, i said "okay". I let about 5 minutes pass and then I noticed she served the group next to me which has just gotten up to the bar. I asked Stephanie if there was a reason as to why I was not being served and other people that had arrived after me were? She replied with an attitude by saying "well it's not customer appreciation week so I can keep making you wait longer!" Stephanie then proceeded to grab me a beer a rude-fully placed it in front of me while asking for my form of payment, I replied to her by saying "Thank you but I refuse to support a bar that treats their customers this way" She then looked me in the eyes and handed the beer to the guy next to me and said "Here's a free beer". I was ready to leave immediately after but the friends I was with convinced me to stay for a few extra minutes. 15 min after my exchange with Stephanie a tall gentleman approached me (the door man) he said "it's time for you to go" I said "excuse me" because I was confused as to why I was being asked to leave the establishment. So I asked "why am I being asked to leave?" he replied by saying "I don't know" I replied and said "So then why would I have to leave" the door mans response was "I heard you were being rude to the bartender" I said "I was not being rude, I simply asked why I was not being served" to which he had no response for. I have never experienced this type of disgusting service in any other establishment and truly hope that the owner has efficiently trained staff because his current staff is truly a liability to this bar and...

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Been there one time and that was enough for me. First the blonde bartender has no good customer service. She almost seemed annoyed when you would ask her for a drink. She was more worried about taking shots with what I assume are her regulars then take care of her customers. Second with only one restroom per person ladies where going in the mens restroom so I decided to go into the women’s restroom. Well I’m sure that made them upset but hey if women were in the “mens” restroom 🤷🏻‍♂️ Lastly before I closed out my tab I ordered 4 drinks and asked to close out after that. When I got my bill I saw that I was charged $76 which is not a problem my issue was that when I asked why I didn’t have an itemized bill the blonde bartender immediately became upset and said I had to leave. Why? Because I want to know what I’m getting charged? I was in the industry for 5+ years and I always tip 30% minimum 20% with not so great service. My advice to anyone that is not a local find another spot. They don’t care for your business and by the way I was treated it shows. We couldn’t even drink the last round because I got kicked out. . . . . Update: So they decided to charge me another $20 dollars for transactions that were not authorized. I will be reporting this bar to BBB and letting my CC company know. We will see who has the last laugh as I will be pursuing...

My friend took a free seat and asked the person next to him if it was fine he said it wasn’t his seat. Then all 3 of them later on when homeboy came back wanted my friend to move (I believe their regulars all bald) they were being extremely rude 3 of them, when my friend was holding his ground and he asked when he sat there. Clearly they were over served and because they were either regular or friends with the staff we were kicked out. Clearly the staff is not aware as they wanted us to close our tab yet I payed with a $100 bill cash and I had to tab. We were just there Sunday night and I loved the drinks here but with the older crowd it was such a vibe killer we’re going to godsons and I’m calling management in the morning. Very disappointed. Stephanie didn’t even come talk to me to address the issue maybe she was too young to be a manager and had never been in that predicament idk. Justin did his best but in the end sided with his buddies.
