The Walton Cafe — Restaurant in Berwyn

Went in for the first time today and it’s such a cute and neat spot! I asked for a recommendation and ended up ordering a café de olla & a “power toast” or something like that. Presentation was great the toast was delicious. The barista was super friendly and helpful. BUT I was a little let down by the coffee. It was not what comes to mind when you think café de olla. I was so disappointed because I was so excited to try it and instead it tasted like an americano with cinnamon sprinkled on top. It was also so steaming hot that it burnt my mouth which is not easy to do since I’m the type to order my coffee extra hot... nonetheless I plan on trying a latte next or maybe a Mexican hot chocolate because it definitely...

Worst experience, I had ever had!!!! I came in and asked to use the bathroom. The barista answered you need to purchase first then use the restroom!! Not even a welcome greeting when the place is almost empty!!! I ordered an americano to my surprise there are two americanos in the menu (awkwardly, when I’m the US an americano is espresso and hot water and the other is just regular coffee)I asked if she could change the order and she started doing it with an attitude!!! Update: they no longer sell the pastries I raved about in my last review. Total bummer! They replaced them with Mexican bread. I don’t have anything against it but we can get Mexican bread anywhere in the Berwyn area. They do have a great tasting chai latte. So I found another reason to come back.
