First time customer to Geno’s today. Absolutely horrible experience. Called in a takeout order and requested the Mahi-Mahi tacos listed on their Facebook page. I was told that was for lunch. I said the Facebook page documented, “Craving something different?? Mahi-mahi tacos today!!! $9.95” Did not say lunch special only. Went ahead and ordered something else. They told me thirty minutes. I arrived at thirty-five minutes and had to wait another twenty-five minutes before I received my food. It was total chaos in that place and you couldn’t tell who was in charge, because no one seemed to care and no one was at the register. No apology given. Unpacked the food and it was awful. Completely tasteless don’t think they added any salt to anything. The fish was dry and cold. The tartar sauce was open and dump over in the container. The salad dressing tasted like something cheap out of a jar and not made fresh. One of the baked potatoes had a huge rotten spot in it. The $11 quarter pound hamburger was black and weighed only .15 pounds. I had to quickly cook a new hamburger at home because it wasn’t even edible, but I guess the dog scored the burnt patty. Just an overall horrible experience. This was my first and last trip to this place. If they want to charge quality restaurant prices they better step up their game because this was some of the worst food I’ve had in a while. They are very expensive for such poor-quality food. McDonalds is better. Get some quality management.

Ordered the special pot pie with green beans. The crust was so hard I could not cut it. Used my finger to try and pull it apart, it tore finally but texture was like rubber. After a took off the top there was a scoopful of food. One slice of carrot , 3 nickel size chicken. Asked for green beans and received corn. No water is served, I guess you have to ask for it. I've ate here for years and last two times the food was not good. I may have caught the bad nights I don't know. But if you run a special the cook should make sure it's edible.

Meet here for lunch once a month. The servers are friendly and the restaurant is always clean. I have never been disappointed with my food. This last visit, I had grilled ham with swiss cheese on rye and a baked potato for the side item. The sandwich was delicious; the potato was steaming hot and baked to perfection. Good iced tea too.

Ordered a cod sandwich and an avocado burger to go. Sat down outside couldn’t get anyone to acknowledge my existence when I wanted wine. I was the only one outside for about 10 minutes and then people started coming about four other tables and every table they ordered after me got their food long before me I had to say something before I was even acknowledged and they were confused about my existence so I went inside and asked to speak to the manager Brad you really couldn’t care any less than anyone I actually have never seen anyone care less about a customer complaint. I was in management for years and let me tell you that’s just one of the most unprofessional responses I’ve ever seen he’s like oh well I’ll go see what could have happened that was it nothing you would think he would be apologetic and offer a discount or anything to sit there for an over an hour waiting for food to go? Really quite unprofessional very disappointing experience and they really need to hire a manager who knows how to manage and handle...

The special on Tuesdays is "Chicken & Dumplings", which looks and tastes like cheap canned food bought off the grocery store shelf but costs almost $8 dollars and comes with luke-warm mash potatoes and white gravy and either corn or green beans.. neither of which are anything to write home about. Dumplings are very flat, and the chicken bits were so small and few, I felt like I was eating mostly flat noodles in a thick white gravy.. just awful for the price.

I noticed that a lot of people here have left mediocre reviews in the past 6 months, so I'm guessing the quality of the food has been on the decline. Maybe the cooks are not who they used to be? All I can say is that I've had much better food for less money. I certainly wouldn't recommend Geno's to any of my close personal...
