Dear Management, Our family is very disappointed. After being loyal customers for many years, our family visited (9/24), after s very tired after a long day to simply enjoy a family dinner. We proceed to order 50 (expensive imho) wings. After a slow start from an inattentive, or possibly overworked waitress, we order. 10-15 minutes later the waitress returns to the table to "inform our family" that the cooks in the back refuse to fulfill our order, and make 40 wings one flavor and 10 on another flavor. Per the waitress, the cooks would only make either 25 and 25 or all 50 one way, as she put it, "period, non-negotiable." In lieu of being arguementive, my wife very kindly asked the waitress if we can instead compromise and order a dozen in one flavor, and the balance of the wings in another. Seems like a reasonable and logical option, but why again do we as customers have to flex to meet the cooks demands? It’s our food, our order, our $, and something we’ve done 100 times before at Trolly, right? Anyway, the waitress then informs us again that the cooks are "adamant" and are not willing to fulfill our order. NEWSFLASH, YOUR MENU STATES YOU CAN ORDER WINGS BY THE DOZEN! It also doesn't state anywhere on the menu you can’t breakup the 50 bucket. In all the previously years at Trolly we never had "adamant cooks" copping attitudes with our family. We're actually pretty reasonable folks and could see if we asked for something absurd, like 50 wings in 15 different flavors, but c’mon people. For goodness sake, aren't there enough rules in this world, now loyal customers can’t reasonably order what we'd like to order? Perhaps the cooks should just order for us? And by the way, the 10-12 plain wings requested were due to a year-old child's dietary restrictions, fyi, not made out of convenience, but Troll likely cares less. Anyway, the cook’s unwilling attitude was so insulting at this point that I walked back to the kitchen and told the waitress to cancel our order immediately, and our family walked out hungry at 8:30pm after sitting there nearly half an hour due to slow service, and the restaurant was less than 30% occupied, fyi. We're again not needy people, and ran a bakery for 20 years dealing with all types of customers, so it’s truthfully not asking much for basic customer service. Sad to say but our family will likely never walk back into your establishment due to this evening’s events and zero follow up 😞 by Mgt to make this right...
Read moreOn 6/11/23 I visited the Trolley Stop with 5 of my friends, to enjoy Bruch, as I was traveling home to Virginia (with my service dog.) Upon arrival to the patio, there was a sign saying ‘Please Wait to be seated’ so we did so. None of the staff came, so we seated ourselves. Still no one came, so one of us went inside to inform them we were seated on the patio and were told it’s our responsibility to come inside and let them know we were there - that’s fine,
After waiting about 10 minutes (we were the only patrons), the waitress took our drink order. After another several minutes we finally received our drinks and menus. Thats ok, we were socializing & enjoying each others company. However, After continuing to wait another several minutes, when the waitress returned to take our order, she said my service dog was not allowed (3 of the 6 of us present are Military Veterans.). When I attempted to explain he’s a service dog, I was shut down and told to speak to the Manager Wendy. Of course, unlike our wait staff, someone (perhaps Wendy the manager) arrived within a minute, and without introduction of herself, immediately said the dog needs to go. I asked if we could move our table closer to the parking area (to accommodate the dog and their wishes) but was rudely told, “No, if we make an exception for you, we have to do it for everyone.” This Veteran is sorry that my dog’s presence was a nuisance to your establishment, and I’m just warning anyone with a service dog - do not patronize this establishment if your dog is with you, save yourself the time and find a friendlier atmosphere, where your other 1/2 is welcome.
Maybe the Trolley Stop could/should put up a sign - ‘No Dogs welcome of any kind, including service dogs’ and also refer your staff to sensitivity training, as it could have been handled in a more...
Read moreI have been a huge fan of The Trolley Stop for some time....however, tonight’s experience changed my mind. My kids and I were there for dinner on a Saturday night, and I know during busy times, the staff may not be as attentive. That’s ok, but getting one order wrong, one order not placed (and we had to wait for it to be made after other orders came), and no follow up/empty drinks/ extra long wait for check got to be a bit much. I let it go because I know the staff was working hard and just attitubed it to being busy. Then, I got the wrong credit card and my card was given to someone else. I was charged almost $80 when our bill was $31. Then, I wasn’t refunded correctly, and neither was another patron. As we waited and waited, I asked for a manager. When the manager finally arrived, he said it had been corrected. That’s it...no apology, no nothing. He was afraid to talk to us. After the other customer and I spoke to him, he said to call if our credit cards were wrong. I got no refund slip, nothing. I still have no idea what I was charged. Everyone makes mistakes, but there was no concern by the...
