Castle Tavern South — Restaurant in South Park Township

I have been ordering food from this place for several years now and normally just go and pick it up. Three children and a wife we went to the restaurant today it is Sunday. Got in the restaurant and seated ourselves in the back and waited to have a waitress serve us. Patiently sat there with my two kids, and waited for a good 15 almost 20 minutes before she finally came over and gave us a menu. Once we received the menu, we ordered drinks. We waited an additional 15 minutes and did not receive our drinks yet. There was one waitress, so we tried obviously to be patient, but when she sat there and served everybody in the bar with drinks, and these are people that came in and sat down while we were sitting that made me very angry. So therefore, we got up and I took my children and we left. On the way out she told me Quote”all your drinks are gonna be ready in a second. I’m sorry” I was completely floored. The service was horrible. In order to run a good establishment, you at least have to communicate with your patrons and tell them that it is going to be longer than normal. Worst experience here ever. We arrive and are told to seat ourselves. Nobody acknowledges us once we sit down. We were not given menus. After sitting there for 10 minutes, I had to go up to the bar to grab menus myself. Nobody came over to greet us or take our order. Finally the bartender came over to take our order because the waitress was ignoring us. I ordered wings and my fiancé ordered a sandwich. We got there at 3pm and our food took over an hour to come out. Throughout our meal, nobody came over to check if we needed anything. We were ignored the entire time. The waitress would check on all other tables around us expect ours. When it was time for the bill, I had to go up to the bar to ask for it. Once it was given to us, nobody came back to take it. I’ve been going here for years and it’s always great food and a great atmosphere. The servers are so kind and the food is amazing. I love the burgers. Love it. Ordered tonight on 10-07-22 and first tried to call and place a takeout order and then got hung up on then which the phone was taken off the hook so drove down because I was already on my way to drive to pick up my order. Went inside to order and the girl was so rude and had no personality whatsoever. She put my change down on the counter couldn’t even hand me it. The food wasn’t even good, burgers were burnt and the buns were hard. The fries were cold and the Buffalo chicken dip sucked.
