I went to this establishment twice, each time a different issue. After ordering "Nutella" pancakes (which was $13) I noticed that they simply used hersheys chocolate syrup instead of actual Nutella which is just lazy and false advertisement. One of my friends got a Ceaser Wrap with chicken, shortly after she felt sick and threw up in the bathroom of the establishment. Thinking it was an honest mistake we went back for breakfast a couple weeks later, after being seated a delightful man with curley long hair (the only good thing about this restaurant), we waited for our server to take our order. The restaurant almost empty, we placed our order and waited for our food. Our food arived, one of my friends who is a vegetarian noticed pieces of chicken in his home fries. He noticed after it was too late and rushed to the bathroom to wash out his mouth. As for the rest of us, the woman serving us made sure to avoid eye contact and not check in on us one time through out the experience. I waited nearly 20 minutes before I could even ask for a glass of water. The lady serving us made sure to quickly grab the cheque so we didn't even have a chance to complain about the cross contamination. Will not eat here again, the lady serving us and the kitchens poor conditions and lies about the food ruined our two...
Read moreMy wife and I went for breakfast last Saturday as a first-time visitor. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated. The menu had a good selection of items and we selected a veggie wrap and 2 buttermilk pancakes. For drinks we had coffee and water.
The drinks came promptly and the server was friendly and efficient. The portions were big and my wife and I were barely able to finish our meals. It was very tasty and the pancakes were delicious.
The prices were on the high side, more expensive than other breakfast places, and it might be due to high cost of doing business in the Cummings Center. I don't like it, but I understand. What I cannot understand or accept is that the coffee was $3.95. Yes, it came with refills, and so do other places. If the coffee had been good I might have been ok, but the coffee was weak.
My suggestion to the owner would be to keep your pricing for the food items, but make the price of coffee reasonable. Use it as a loss-leader, like Costco does with their hot dogs and chicken. We will perceive a good deal and come again. As it is now, while we enjoyed the food and the service, it is just...
Read moreI heard so much good about Early Harvest in Beverly, so we decided to give it a try. When we entered we were seated right away; the staff seemed friendly. They were not busy. We waited about 5 minutes for a waiter to bring the menus and to ask if we wanted coffee. 5 Minutes went by before he brought the coffee spilling half my cup on the table. Wiped it up but didn't refill my cup. Hubby ordered eggs benedict and I eggs sunny side up and sausages. Then had to wait for about 20 minuted before someone brought it. The sausages were cold and looked uncooked and the eggs very runny. I managed to get our waiters attention and told him about the cold sausages. I finished my breakfast w/o coffee and w/o sausages. Then we had to wait like forever for the bill. This is the first time ever my husband, who usually tip 20 - 25 %,...
