I go to Soall quite often and lately it seems as if the quality has gone down. I normally get take out and almost every time I do, there are no utensils. I’m not sure if I have to ask for them each time but shouldn’t they automatically be in there? I got the salmon clay pot a bit ago which was extremely salty. The portion size is small for the high price for pretty much their whole menu. I also got a vermicelli bowl with egg-rolls and garlic shrimp. I know it’s usually standard to have 2 egg-rolls but there were literally only 3 other pieces of shrimp in there. For $20, that’s not a lot. The presentation is also lacking. When I open up my food, it looks like I packed it myself and threw a bunch of stuff together. Hopefully, some changes are made because I would like to continue...
Read moreClean place, friendly staff and delicious food. The beef strips were lavishly marinated and full of flavor, served hot and juicy. The pork BAO was a tasty mix of sweet and savory with crunchy carrots and cucumber and the soft breading.
Lastly I had the spicy beef noodle bowl and it was hot in all the right ways. They offered a sauce to increase the heat to taste but the base heat was biting but flavorful. The slices of beef were the size of my palm, the bowl was wide and deep, and the noodles were thin and hard to catch but flavorful when I learned the trick.
Flavor is a word used often and it's intentional. Each plate had a strong and memorable impression that was well deserved.
I was in town for a funeral, but it helped lessen the blow of a hard day and I got to enjoy...
Read moreI was not impressed with their pho AT ALL. I normally go to Pho Minh Ky (GO HERE FOR BEST PHO EVER) for their pho because they have amazing prices for an extra large amount as well as adequate amount of food.
At Soall, this was a $18 bowl. This is apparently a normal bowl of pho with extra noodles and extra hoisin/sriracha. The container of hoisin/sriracha was half full - and that’s all I got. How is that a normal amount PLUS extra? The amount noodles was NOT extra in any amount either. It came with a half slice of THE DRYEST lime that had about six drops of lime juice.
For the amount that I paid for my meal, I am deeply disappointed by just how much I paid for such a small amount. I know who has the best pho, and...
