My wife and I decided to shop for two twin xl mattresses to replace a king size mattress that no longer was comfortable for either of us. We decided to try two xl mattresses because we each need different firmness levels. We actually were dreading the process of having to make this purchase knowing that there are so many different choices and options in this industry. Lucky for us Portland Mattress is where we began to shop, and after such a great experience with Sandy we made our purchase the following day. We never felt pressured or rushed to make a decision and made several suggestions after listening to what our needs were. She took the time to explain why she thought we would get a better nights sleep on those that she recommended. After trying the mattresses that she recommended she was able to answer all our questions and explain how the mattresses were all hand crafted and built right in the Biddeford location. By this time my wife and I both knew that we were going to purchase our new mattress from Sandy the following day ! We were fortunate to have our new mattresses delivered within a weeks time by two awesome delivery experts Tony and Alex. They took out our old mattress and set up the new mattresses and were back on the road in less than 15 minutes. Delivery was completed within promised time frame. Receiving a beautifully boxed thank you gift was unexpected but so appreciated. The most awesome derail that I haven’t mentioned yet is that our new mattresses are the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on. We have purchased several mattresses in our lifetime, but this experience has left us so happy that we purchased mattresses of such quality, sold by someone who really knows the product, made locally and delivered by people who respect your property. 15 years ago, we moved into a custom built home that needed to be fully furnished. We bought a very nice bed frame for that home, and made the mistake of purchasing an inexpensive memory foam mattress online. Within a few years, or even less than that, there were depressions in the mattress, making it very uncomfortable. He listened to our previous experiences with different manufacturers and helped us both select the models, which were best suited to our individual sleeping needs.
