The "Wu" used to be the place to go, but since Covid they've gone sub-par. If all you're interested in is the food then your best bet is to do takeout. Their food is still very good but dining in, not so much. First, they've closed the nice side of the restaurant because they want you to play Keno on what used to be the "smoking" side, and let's face it, the atmosphere there leaves something to desire. Second, they most times have only one or two waitresses and after being seated the last time I was there it took a half hour before one came to our table. Then you want to order two drinks so when you finish one you won't have to wait another half hour till you can order a second one, but then they will restrict you to just one at a time. Third, they've gotten cheap, like most Chinese restaurants they no longer provide bread with the meal, it was also due to Covid but was never brought back for some reason. And with the drinks they're leaving out the fruit garnishes, sometimes you'll get them with the first drink and not the second, and unless you ask for it they don't give you pineapple after the meal. We're paying a lot to get less. My last time there was Christmas Eve (2024) and due to heavy volume they had both sides of the restaurant open, however; they only had two waitresses, one per side, we were not willing to wait as it could've been an hour before being seated, then there would've been the additional wait afterwards. They need to bring more wait staff and always have both sides open since none of us play Keno and care for the...
Read moreThis place is awesome! I recently moved to the area from out of town and my friend suggested this place since she lives in the area. Whenever I come here, I get the A14- boneless spareribs, beef teriyaki, chicken fingers and pork fried rice. I like having the option to get a dinner combination since it's perfect for just me or with a group of friends. The service was really good and the staff were extremely friendly! I come here regularly now! Sometimes I want to switch it up, so the waitress suggested some new options. Now, I switch between the A14 and B9, which has the crispy chicken and rice. I definitely feel the family atmosphere and I feel so welcome every time I come here. I bring my friends here whenever we are craving Chinese food. Definitely recommend to others in the area! 5 stars!
I bought my friend here from Malden and he and I ordered the A14 and some bud light limes. My friend said it was much better than other Chinese restaurants in Malden. He and I will...
Read moreMy wife and I were out shopping yesterday afternoon. When we were done shopping we decided that we would stop on our way home to pick up some food. My wife decided she wanted to stop at Wu Loon Ming which has been a favorite of ours for years. I said that I don’t think that is a good idea because it was between lunch and dinner and that we were going to get heated up lunch leftovers. She thought I was nuts and said that the Ming would never do that. So against my wishes we ordered our food and picked it up and headed home. Guess what. Much to my wife’s dismay we found that most of the food was re-heated. The crab rangoon and chicken fingers were dark brown and loaded with grease. You could tell just by looking at them they had been re-heated. Not really edible. The pork strips were so dry you couldn’t even chew them. The only thing that was edible was the pork fried rice and chicken chow mein....
