Stopped in today to get takeout for lunch just before 12:30 pm. It was quiet, the bar had people eating. It was clean. The lone server greeted me as soon as I walked in, asked me to hang on a few minutes. I had checked the menu and ordered an American Burger “Fresh handmade patty grilled to your liking and topped with melted American cheese. Served on a toasted buttery brioche bun with a side of hand-cut fries.” I ordered medium rare, and asked for some siracha aioli on it. I waited a bit then headed home to eat lunch. The good: The brioche bun was buttery. The fries were crunchy. My burger did have requested aioli on the side, and the other veggies as ordered. The bad: The bun was stale on the edges. The burger was not medium rare, it was burnt. and was dry and tiny. The bun oversized the burger. If those fries are hand cut, my name is Rumpelstiltskin. They were covered with a ton of pepper. Maybe they were frozen “hand cut style” fries. Cmon, at least be honest on your menu. The hand cut fries and the details in the menu were why I came. My advice – move on- there are better burgers and fries in the area. $17 of disappointment to feed the trash can.

This is a spot I would go to if you are coming here for a quick couple appetizers and some drinks. The boom boom chicken is the reason why i gave this review 2 stars or it would of been lower. If you want a good appetizer, make sure you buy the boom boom chicken..it was incredible. Besides that the service was horrendous.. We didn’t get are food until 2 hours in and the servers were a little lost..felt bad because it seemed a little under staffed. The pasta dish i got the chicken seemed like it came from a can and the garlic wine sauces was all butter. It was eatable if you were hungry. I heard good things about Pine hurst, but was rather disappointed with the results.

Team Blue visited Steve’s Tavern mid-afternoon and we were greeted with great service and an entertaining environment! We tried the Steve’s Tavern signature drink, The Pinehurst Painkiller. The drink was delicious and had pineapple and coconut in it. We also tried a signature appetizer, the Boom Boom Chicken. It had a homemade sauce that is a little creamier than buffalo and has a kick at the end. It was stellar! There was live music playing, outdoor seating, corn hole boards, and keno. We will definitely be back.

Food—overall not great, but decent. Cajun shrimp and rice were good, steak tips had good flavor but were over-cooked, chicken was mediocre, and peas had quite a few small hard peas mixed in.

Alcohol—limited selection of craft beer. Decent variety of IPAs, but not much else.

Atmosphere—super loud (the rooms are really echoey and my husband and I couldn’t hear each other from inches away). Much older crowd and everyone was practically screaming. Some neat guitars on the wall.

Staff—friendly and helpful.

Cleanliness—overall clean although there was something super sticky on my chair and the table was not 100% clean.

Seating—almost everything is a high top, which almost caused us to leave until we found two tables in the bar area that were normal height. Due to an injury, I don’t sit well...

Bad! 7/23/2021 @4PM Party of 5.. We had money to spend... I guess they do not want it. Waitress disappeared .. Silverware for two on the table. We asked for the silverware, and the waitress never came back- we had to ask the bartender for silverware, we also had to get a drink from bar. Cold corn on the cob -we let the owner know- and it came back to us colder than it was first given to us. Ordered quesadilla - and received a piece of bread with a slice of cheese on it. All the dirty dishes stayed on the table, the whole time we were there. It was not that busy either but, the staff was spending their time in the outside area or chatting with the regulars at the bar. It was not due to understaffed but, the staff that was selected. We are never going back... we will take a money...
