Jade Pacific — Restaurant in Billerica

It would have been a good experience but, sadly that wasn't the case. The restaurant itself needs some TLC in the exterior. Plain and sketchy looking. A good coat of paint and perhaps a large sign that can be seen from the Road could help. Beside the front entrance, the restaurant is pretty plain and gloomy looking but hey, you're there for the food, not the decor. The front house staff is friendly and efficient. Servers were quick and attentive as well as polite. I ordered from the lunch menu and here is where it all went wrong. The Lunch Menu consists of very affordable prices for 1 person dishes. It became apparent after the food had come out that the lunch menu items are made in bulk and frozen. When ordered, they will heat it up or microwave it for you. Thus the cheap pricing. My food came out warm on the outside but stone cold in the middle. Microwaved. This didn't sit well with me since the dish consisted of seafood. Didn't have time to return the items for extra TLC as I had already been there for 40 minutes. Be honest. Nobody comes here for the food. It's regulation Chinese American food, and just OK at that. Everybody talks about the fact that the property has been redone. I didn't see that. But I was in the bar. It definitely looks like the bar could use a good remodel., Holes that had been patched, areas that had stuff hanging from the ceiling that could've been dirt? Might've been part of webs? Not really sure. The first time I was ever here. I walked in the door through a cloud of smoke because everybody was sitting on the stairs smoking their butts.Went to meet a friend at the bar, everybody was so busy with Keno. However, when the waiter came to take our drinks, he didn't even hear us properly, and one of our friends got the wrong drink. But, the drinks were great. Very strong. Borderline too strong, but I like my drink strong. We stayed for a while, we got a little bit of food. This place has changed ownership and doing so not only have prices increased and food quality decreased but they also give you less food and the new Asian Owner has a poor attitude when confronted about an order that was incorrect. Ordered large orders of appetizers and received small orders but paid for the large of course and then called a liar by the owner. Constructive criticism was not welcomed so now they lost a large family of customers and hopefully many many more for the disrespect shown by the new owner who also owns Stelios Restaurant in Billerica. When ownership treats customers so poorly and with such disrespect they shouldn’t be allowed to stay in business, let alone two of them.
