Dickies is possibly the most expensive restaurant in Billings. Be ready to spend near $20 per person while getting small measured portions of meat. Pictured is a 2 meat plate with 2 sides priced at almost $18 without a drink. Value is VERY LOW at this establishment. Meat in general is expensive, but when compared to other restaurants in Billings, nothing at Dickies adds to the value of spending $20/person. Its only meat. Travel anywhere in the south and tell me this BBQ is still good. You can't. Dickies is Mid and Expensive.

This is 3+, better then ok. However the food left a hard knot in my stomach. I had the brisket sandwich with 2 side. The brisket was both dry and tough. It tasted very good, I am having a difficult time digesting it. Both of the side are very flavorful. At $9.50 it could be considered a value if it was actually eatable. If I go back I would have to order something different. Service was fast and the restaurant was busy. A busy restaurant is a good sign.

I really wanted to say that Billy was amazing. This was my first time eating there and he made it a wonderful experience. Hope the owners see this and give him a pat on the back. The food was good and Im glad he suggested the ribs. Ill be coming back soon.

To Whom It May Concern,

I’m submitting a formal complaint regarding my recent experience picking up an order from Dickie’s Barbecue Pit, which involved an extremely disrespectful and avoidant staff member.

When I first arrived, I was met by a large male employee (for context, he resembles a “man-bear-pig” archetype—a fitting description for both his physical presence and demeanor). He was visibly frustrated and immediately began yelling that he had 30 tickets ahead, without ever asking me who I was picking up for.

Trying to respect the situation, I left and came back a little later. I re-entered the restaurant multiple times, waited in the store, and watched other customers walk in, receive their food, and leave while I remained ignored.

After nearly 30 minutes of being disregarded—despite checking in several times—I finally asked, “I’m seeing people get their food while I’ve been here much longer. When is my order going to be ready?”

He snapped at me, saying, “You never told me who you’re picking up for,” to which I replied, “You never asked.”

I then asked again if he would like to know who the order was for, and he straight-up refused to answer, just stared at me. Only after pressing him a second time did he finally say the name of the customer—revealing that he knew the whole time and had simply chosen not to prepare the order or communicate.

This kind of unprofessional and antagonistic behavior toward Dashers is unacceptable. I don’t take it lightly to call someone out like this, but the level of disregard, passive-aggression, and refusal to communicate crossed the line. This was clearly not just “being busy,” it was intentional mistreatment.

Please flag this location internally and make sure other Dashers are aware. I’m not the only one who’s had issues here.

Sincerely, A very patient (but...

Any online delivery here is usually a mess, tonight specifically, 6:40pm 3 people working its a small enough kitchen just a small line with what, 2 fryers? There was 1 family already seated and eating no one else while I waited for my already placed order. Entered, wasn't greeted or acknowledged I had to ask them about my order just to find out they ran out of chicken so I had to call customer for a replacement then force myself in their line of sight while they desperately tried to avoid eye contact or friendliness- not like it is part of the job or anything.. They act like they're cooking for hundreds on a sinking ship, when the order was finally finished, a tall very slender woman bunches it up at the top with greasy gloves to hand it to me then sighs saying "there's a drink with this" looking at the receipt trying to find it I said "yes, a coke" she grabs a cup fills it then hands it to me goes back to bunch up the bags in bags at max capacity shoves it to me, I say "can I trouble you for a bag with handles? Carrying it how it is with a drink itsnt..." Worker interrupts me: "A WHAT?" "A bag with handles the way that's packaged will be rough" she sighs heavily and says "seriously girl I am drowning here" grabbing the bag trying to open it I said "I can do it myself I just wanted the bag" she scrunched and pushed all the paper bags piled high in one paper bag with the failed to open plastic bag towards me sighs loud says "good luck" walks away. I turn around and another lady that had walked in while I was interacting with the worker informed me that both locations had issues with pressure and politeness and I would agree. Again, not a slam packed hoppin spot it's not Hells Kitchen but I sure wanted to yell at that worker like Gordon Ramsey, learn how to manage barely any stress with a calm...

They constantly run out of stuff when we place our order online. That's rather frustrating, but what's worse is the owner Austin doesn't acknowledge any concerns that you directly bring to him. The staff that works there is good. They do the best that they can given the circumstances. WAS a rewards member...until when we went to use rewards, only to HAVE to pay full price. Called Austin about it to voice my concerns, only to be completely ignored. Will definitely NOT be coming back here. Gave this place more than 3 chances to get it right. First, they gave our order away before we could get it. Second, was the rewards. The final straw was the complete lack of communication from the "owner" when we attempted to voice our concerns with the rewards program just not working. The staff said there was nothing they could do because it was done with a "3rd party"

The "special" i was trying to use was you buy one 3 meat plate, get one 3 meat plate half off or free or something like that. Was supposed to be about 20 to 25 dollars, ended up being over 50 dollars! So I ended up "eating" that loss.

I gave plenty of time to make it right, nothing has been done about it. So now I am putting my honest review of this "establishment" here for everyone and their mama to see.

And to the "owner",DO better for the next customers that have an issue. That way, you don't LOSE business. And I will not be updating because what's done is done and there was absolutely NO ATTEMPT made to resolve this issue once brought to...
