Today me and my family decided to go get a late breakfast, early lunch around the noon hour. When we get there there a decent amount of people waiting which wasn’t an issue I love tippy cows food. The hostess took down our name, and even recognized us from before. She mentioned it would be a bit of a wait. Not to much longer after that the hostess sat us and mentioned our server would be right with us. This is where it went down hill. We sat for a good amount of time with a good amount of servers passing by us several times to never acknowledge us. The booth behind us ending up getting sat at a family of four and within three minutes there drink order was taken. It wasn't until I had to go up and ask if they could find who our server because we had been there awhile at this point and still hadn’t even had our drink order taken. The lady behind the counter said she would come get our drink order and bring us some silverware, and find our server. She came took our drink order, brought drinks back shortly after. Still no silverware. I had gotten coffee that I had put creamer and sugar into and had no silverware to mix it up. My husband then had to track down another person for some silverware. Mind you our order still hadn’t been taken, we still had not seen our server. Finish cup of coffee. Still no server. Multiple servers passing by but never stopping and saying anything or asking anything. Another table gets sat right behind the table that got drinks right away. To find out that our server was right behind us the entire time at another booth. Only solely acknowledging them. It wasn’t until she was sat another three tables did she acknowledge us. When the server did come up her opening statement was “ I don’t know who was here first, I’ve lost track, I’ll work my way down the line. Whatcha having”. My coffee was very near empty when she took our order, yet never asked about a refill, or if we needed anything while we waited on our food. Took our order and moved on. Never double backed to check on drinks. Nothing. I had to go track someone else down again for a coffee refill. To which someone lets our server know and she finally comes around with it. But again long enough to refill the coffee and that’s it. No can I get you anything else. Shouldn’t be to much longer. Or let me go check. Nothing. My husbands soda then runs around and again no refill. We sit there for awhile longer. To which I have to ask another server if she can possibly check our food because we had been sitting a really long time and had no idea what was going on. That server went and got our server who then stated they only had three cooks and a bus person had called out and they were doing the best they could. I get it but the thing was no one communicated that. Again we were passed several times and never offered refills or any type of updates. We expressed we had been sitting there a really long time and the server pretty much threw her hands up. At this point my husband is watching the kitchen door and sees our kiddos food start come out and see the server tell the person to take it back. Few more minutes pass by and we get our food. Mind you my husband soda is still empty. My coffee is near empty again. She never asks us if we need refills, nothing. I’m missing hash browns on my order, to which we have to track our server down again. Get hasbrowns there cold. Get to the eggs there not even crispy. Get to the French toast cold. I end up not eating any of it. Kiddos grilled cheese some what warm. I then ask to speak to a manager and come to find out it’s the server I asked to check on our food. I then track her down to be like look this isn’t ok we got here at 12, it’s now 2PM. I couldn’t even eat my food. She offers to take 15% off our bill. That this is what happens when the owners go out of town. Mam we sat there two hours and I left hungry and all you could do was discount $15 bucks. The icing on the cake this is the second time this has happened to us...
Read moreWhere do I even begin? We had a party of four. My husband and I showed up before my parents and we got sat immediately. Off to a good start. We get got our drinks fairly quickly and then get asked if we were ready to order. Then we had to explain we were waiting on more people and got met with an attitude. Parents show up, they order their drinks, and the waitress walks away halfway through my father speaking. Then we had to wait a fair while before we got asked if we were ready to order. We order and waited patiently for a while, it was busy, I get it. When the waitress finally comes over with food and starts setting it down, we quickly realize, that it is not our food, but another party's food. We had touched the food and plates and had to try and convince our waitress that this, in fact, was NOT our order. She takes it back, and shortly thereafter, we see her taking the food that had been in front of us to the right table. Unsanitary. Then, when we finally do get our order, so much of it is cooked incorrectly. The steak my mother ordered, which was supposed to be medium rare, was so well done it was "shoe leather". My husband ordered eggs over hard and received them over easy. And my poor father had to wait about 15-20 minutes longer than us to receive his food because his plate got taken to the wrong table as well. The food that did get made "correctly" was still basically inedible. It was absolutely abysmal. Bland gravy, mushy biscuits, underdone/limp/fatty bacon, "homemade" hash browns that were so obviously frozen. Very...
Read moreMom & I got to Billings early afternoon & checked into our hotel. We walked over to the Tippy Cow Cafe to see their hours of operation, as they're close to the hotel. We just got to the cafe door when my Cancer Doctor's Office called. Mom & I stepped into their entery to hear as it is a busy street. We were not in the resteraunt its self, just the entryway. The lady on the other side of interior glass door started screaming at me & my mom. " You can't be here! We are closed! You have to leave immediately! You can't be here if the inspector comes! We are closed!" My mom tried to politely tell her we're were just checking their hours of operation, and that the doctor had just called me, so we stepped in entry to answer the call. The lady again freaked out waving her arms about widely from behind the counter and screaming again, "That we needed to leave immediately! They were closed! Mom and I quickly left entery way a little afraid as to what the lady might do. After leaving the entery we then we noticed they close at 3pm. I checked my phone it was 4pm.
It's raises some questions... If staff is that rude when the business closed, how are they when they're open? If she was truly worried about people coming in, why was the entry door unlocked? Why wasn't it the door locked
I try to treat people as I would like to be treated. If a business has that much lack of compassion & respect for people, they do not need...
