Not sure who runs the Metra grounds for events but who ever is in charge is not the sharpest crayon. During the Great Rocky Mountain Sports Show the ground keepers moved concrete barriers to block traffic from access to the building. When the Metra staff was asked why they responded it was due to a concert being held in Metra. The concrete barriers remained in place Sunday and all vendors had to carry and cart products substantial distances again due to poor management. Customers attending the Great Rocky Mountain Sports show were in disbelief as well. In closing Metra management should be happy they dodged a huge lawsuit based on someone needing medical attention or a fire because there is no way medical or emergency personnel could have reached the building due to the placement of the...
Read moreApparently Q2 just made an article on how the fair just had its most profitable year yet in their entire history. Well that's not surprising since the prices are basically triple from the time that I was younger. This place is extortion. $40 for a wristband is absolutely ridiculous. On top of $12 regular admission. I've seen countless people mad and crazed about it. And you think for the additional cost that this fair would have something unique to offer. All they've done is remove all the rides that everybody likes like the bumper cars the thunderbolt the Himalayan. There's no rides anymore and all the games are 10 to $20 minimum. I honestly have to give a shout out for all the game people though. They are really nice and accommodating. All the rides are run down and not maintenance. There's no more lights on the zipper. The gravitron sold and then it's now the starship 4000 in the pads looked like jail cell cushions. Awful. Do...
Read moreWe attended the State wrestling tournament to watch our son. First it's all general admission so seats are first come first serve. What a rat race! People saving seats and people taking over the seats you were saving. Oh first the doors don't open until 0800 so you have to stand outside in the cold. Then they have 2 ticket takers on one side. Then everyone rushing in trying to get seats! If you want something to eat or drink be prepared to stand in along line again and wait over 30 to 40 minutes. So overall hurry up and wait at the Metra Park. Oh parking on the bottom is a nightmare to get out of. Someone needs to redo the inside and the outside parking needs...
