We went for Thanksgiving yesterday. Surprised an Iron Chef's name is tied to this. I was expecting elevated white glove service and food. The good: excellent seasoned turkey (server was also wonderful), decent pork loin, tasty vegetables and dessert pies. Yum. Our server was also very nice, but seemed to be bottlenecked at the drink station. Already went to buffet and seated 5 minutes before water came. Simple whiskey/coke and cranberry/vodka took 15 minutes with few people at bar. My local bar bartenders would run circles around these guys. The bad: dried out Mac and cheese should be creamy, undercooked dirty rice that crunched.
The following two things actually upset me considering the venue. I have a hearing disability and the young guy serving pork loin said something. I asked "excuse me", he sighs because he has to repeat himself and says " I asked how many pieces you want". The turkey and loin were the first things on my plate and I was immediately pissed by his attitude when I'm trying to have Thanksgiving dinner with family. I tell him "I have a hearing disability and I'm 52 years old dude don't talk to me like that". He says "Oh". Not even sorry. Completely disrespectful. Then, back by the side dishes I got a roll. There was another younger guy behind the tables and I ask if there is any butter on the table for my rolls. He says " Yeah, but I'd have to go back in the kitchen to get it". It should have been next to the rolls to begin with, but the laziness of not wanting to take care of the customer and handle the oversight was not on par when I'm expecting elevated service. I just told him "nevermind", but I guess everyone else attending didn't matter either. Simple oversight, take care of it for your diners. I review taco shops better than this because it's about bang for the buck. I'll pay whatever if the food and service meet expectations. $300 spent and I left upset with the experience. Also, put the carving station where the desserts were and put the desserts up front. How simple is that? Going back and forth from the front to back of the building was a ridiculous setup. Cora should send in anonymous diners to see what her name is tied to as I know there would be be serious changes made. I owned a BBQ restaurant and ran it more diner friendly than this. Step it up. If the manager needs any more details they can contact me and I'd be happy to answer...
Read moreWent in tonight 3/16/16 with low expectations and they were met. We had eaten there almost two months ago and it was extremely disappointing but thought we should give it another chance. Three of us dining, all ordered salads and all three showed up with NO dressing on them at all and none on the side. One of the salads was a chop salad and not one single ingredient was chopped. Ordered jumbo grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer. The shrimp were very small, not near jumbo and were clearly not grilled or wrapped in bacon. They were the small shrimp that are boiled with the tail on (like you get from Sam' s Club) with a piece of bacon laying on top of them (no, I am not kidding). We ordered prime rib medium rare and they all arrived medium well. Sent them back and they brought back new ones and they were the toughest prime rib I have ever experienced. The two sides we ordered were terrible, green bean casserole was delivered cold and the asparagus had the hard ends still attached. Overall one of the worst meals I have ever had. Spoke with the chef and he said he was doing inventory and didn't see the food leave the kitchen. I say weak but you make your own decision. I would NEVER spend my money here if I were you and I will never...

Within those 50 days, I went to this restaurant twice. First experience was okay. The steak was well done even though I requested medium-rare but the server was cool and welcoming. The second experience was the opposite. I went there for lunch; the food was good, the server wasn't. I don't think I recall that many times where all I can remember was bad service. As my food came out, the server put the plate on the other side of the table. I mean what is this? Usually when there is an appetizer in front of a customer, they put away the appetizer and put the main dish in front of people. I just wasn't feeling welcomed. I felt as if I was a burden on them, ordering one sandwich and sipping on non-priced drink(aka water). The server was trying to look nice and kind but it looked like to me that she wasn't. I'm starting to wonder if you don't dress up, you get treated poorly. Granted, this is a luxurious restaurant and many people were dressed up.
I could mention the name...
