I took my daughter and a couple of friends to dinner after graduation, do to covid the waffle house was about our only choice. This was by far the worst experience i have ever had at waffle house in the decades that i have been eating there. First off there were more employees in the store than customers 5 maybe 6. We did not get our drinks until we asked for them which was 5 to 10 minutes after ordering drinks. Waiting on our food we find out that there is no chicken, which is not a problem but the chicken could have been nearly done in the amount of time that it took them to notify us. My daughter ordered a all star breakfast with sausage and bacon. The meat was so undercooked that we had to send it back for fear of getting sick. I also ordered a all star with just sausage, the food came out in such a crazy fashion that it wasn't even like a meal, and i never did get my sausage, after informing the waitress she said that the meal would cost more if she took the sausage off the ticket. After asking if she could just take off the extra sausage from my daughter's meal things got almost argumentative. The tab was 40 something i left 50 only because i know what it can be like working for tips, but honestly she didn't deserve a penny, and our meal if you can call it that should of at least been discounted. Its was very annoying to get that kind of service when it seemed that the employees had plenty of time to talk an fool around ( not the cook). I rarely write bad reviews, and never in this much detail. But if you are ever on beach blvd and want waffle house do yourself a favor and avoid this one. There are however several more...
Read moreI’ve been to a lot of Waffle Houses in my time (late-night cravings don’t sleep), but the vibe at this one? Unmatched. Like… if comfort food had a soul, it would be wearing a name tag and working a shift here.
Let me start with Alaina — the kind of server that makes you feel like you’ve known her your whole life. Her energy is so warm and grounding, even when it’s chaos in the kitchen. She moves like she owns grace under pressure. Quick with the coffee, even quicker with the wit — and the way she checks in? Makes you feel seen, not just served. Honestly, I’d show up just for her vibe and leave with zero regrets (and probably a full belly and half a to-go box).
Then there’s Mrs. Kim, an absolute angel in an apron. The kind of woman who makes you feel like you’re at your favorite auntie’s house. Attentive, sweet, and always on it — you can tell she takes real pride in her work. She’ll remember your order and throw in a little kindness on the side, just ‘cause that’s who she is.
Now… let’s talk about the cook KD — aka Mr. Dimples, aka The Angel on the Grill. I don’t know what heaven he floated down from, but this man was back there cheffin’ it up like he was cooking for royalty. Food? PERFECT. Vibe? Immaculate. Smile? Dangerous. I don’t know what was more well-done, my hashbrowns or me after seeing those dimples.
Together, they’re like the dream team of Waffle House hospitality. Their chemistry, work ethic, and genuine care turn a simple breakfast stop into a full-on comfort experience.
10/10 would recommend. 12/10 if Alaina and Mrs. Kim and KD...
Read moreMe and my husband went there this morning to eat , first off it took our waitress about 10 mins after we sat down to come see what we needed to drink because she was gossiping with another member and a customer about things that wasn’t appropriate to be talking about especially when there were a lot of customers sitting around the area. Second the waitress wasn’t friendly to me and my husband it was like she judged us when we walked in. But the couple behind us got treated like they were best friends. That made me feel a type of way . Third When we finally ordered our food , it didn’t take long to get the food .I ordered the all star and my grits and eggs came out first so I ate it , I was just waiting on my waffle . When I got the waffle I cut it and had already eaten 2 pieces when I went to eat the third piece I saw that there was hair in my waffle. It turned my stomach so much. I told my husband that I was ready to go. He paid we left didn’t tip the service was awful. My husband and I will not be eating at this Waffle House anymore. That done it for us ! I don’t know what the name of our waitress was and frankly I don’t care . I don’t make a fuss about things but this...
