Long post. I purchased tickets for the Crawfish fest to see Hinder and Puddle of Mudd and parking from Ticketmaster. It stated that the artist line up and performances time could be found on the Ms Coast Coliseum website and it was not. Only the artist names could be found and that the gates would open at 1pm. We drove 3 hours to get there by 1pm under the assumption that they would be performing around that time. Once we arrived we entered the event thinking that it would be held inside the Coliseum but it was outside in the freaking hot sun. We had to ask the staff to help us find our seats because it was a bunch of chairs with tapped numbers on them. After 20 minutes of the staff trying to get the seating verified there was several ppl rehearsing NOT PERFORMING on the stage. We asked the staff what time does Hinder and Puddle of Mudd perform and she showed us an literary with the time of 8pm on it (6 hours away) in total disbelief we asked why wasn't their time of performances posted on the website and NO ONE HAD AN ANSWER. Mind you it was hot and we did not come prepared to wait that long. So we asked the staff if we could come back later to see the show to give us time to cool off and take care of medical needs to prevent a medical issue. They advised me that we could not re-enter if we left out the venue. We couldn't believe this. So we tried to explain our situation and they said that we could stay to see the other artist (that was not listed on the website) and we declined because that was too long to stay in the sun and we came to see Hinder and Puddle of Mudd. So for medical reasons, we decided to leave, and several staff members stated that we could return if we paid a re-entry fee. So we decided to return later and pay the fee. Around 8 pm, we returned and asked several staff members and security where we should go to pay the re-entrance fee and how much it was. They all advised that we had to pay $25 per person and for us to go back to the entrance gate. We arrived at the entrance gate and this woman whom we explained our situation to earlier that day was standing there and she so rudely stated I THOUGHT YOU WASN'T COMING BACK, I explained to her that we were told to pay 25.00 each to re-enter and she began to speak to us like she thought we were lying and trying to sneak back into the venue. She told us to go to the ticket window to pay the fee. We went to the ticket window and once again were greeted by another RUDE EMPLOYEE. We showed her our tickets that we purchased for Ticketmaster for $164 and advised her that the staff told us that we could pay $25 per person to re-enter. She rudely says Who told you that and I explained to her it was the staff and the security. She loudly says THEY LIED TO YOU AND IT'S GOING TO BE THE SAME PRICE THAT YOU PAID FOR YOUR ORIGINAL TICKET. At this point I'm very upset because we hadn't seen not one performance and I was already out of lots of money and she was trying to get us to repay that amount again. Other security members heard and saw the commotion and asked me what happened. When I explained it to them they too agreed that I got a really bad deal. I was tired, hot and disappointed because we decided to just leave. So technically I paid for a concert that we didn't get to see and was treated horrible. My granddaughter was so upset because we didn't get to see Hinder and Puddle of Mudd and she couldn't believe the way those ladies were acting towards us. I would not recommend going to this event to ANYONE because it was not detailed on the website as promised and we lost our money only to be treated with total disrespect. I will not be returning and wish there was a way to get accommodated for our loss due to their misinformation. Please be aware before purchasing tickets...
Read moreSecurity are just picked off the streets without any expertise in security work. There is no vetting. They seem to disrespect and belittle each other. Talk down by hire up security. Many of them just seem to be there to get paid to see the events. Looking around they lean on the walls and never take there eyes off the event. So a majority of the time things happen that seem so unsafe and security that I would think is hired don't do there jobs. Give or take a selected maybe 1 or 2. And they are rude. I have heard some of the security hired are very disrespectful. And the ones I have seen before no longer work there. Seems the decent security walk away from the job. And now I can see why. It's a shame with the cost of everything going up and extra charges. Then the food. Prices are bad and so is some of the food. One would think with as much money that's being made they would use that money to better customers experiences and to keep everyone safe. I even seen one security guard that was as the metal detectors suppose to be checking for weapons, not even open up any bags to check them. And most of the security don't seem to know how to use something as simple as the wand stick to do extra checks. I feel we would be safer without security at all if this is the security we have to put our lives in...
Read moreGreat venue. Been to 3 Monster Jams there.. sat different locations.. Have not found a bad seat yet.. Knee space is just enough.. Staff are helpful and pleasant. I did think cotton candy price was ridiculous $20 for Candy and a plastic mask.. cocessions.. and restrooms on 2nd level was packed.. went to lower level hardly anyone down there.. Huge ramp on outside to second level exit.. Do give yourself extra time getting into event.. They have installed... security protocols. to enter venue... Monster Jams. are really loud in this venue suggest stopping and picking up noise cancelling headsets or ear plugs for children's and maybe yourself. It was nice during breaks in the program to be able to step out on the terrace level ramp and walk around outside before going back to seats.. This facility.. also has designated wheel chair...pads.. behind every other section.. not usually found in venues such as this... I prefer this venue to be better than Super Dome the crowd is smaller.. Parking was $5. This venue also has a small conversation building next to it.. On several occasions we have been able to leave one building and go to another event same day....don't have to leave the grounds same...
