I enjoyed my stay at this place. Great service from the beautiful lady that checked me in on June 2, at 12:30pm. That was the best customer service I had in my life. The pool area was extremely nice and we was right across from the beach and was all from a great price.
Although, there WAS a small inconvenience. And before I get started, no this was not the same person that checked me in, she was sweet and kind this other lady had a trifling tone towards me with her bad built self and I hope she sees this. During late night around 1:30am of June 4th i was trying to get into my room and the key didn’t work for the room, I went down to the office and the lady was smoking a cigarette outside by the door while talking to the other worker and the security guard, I was all like okay cool no big deal. I explained to her that my key doesn’t work for my room and if she can rescan it, she took it tested on the door she was already standing by and told me it work and to try it again. I went tried it again still did not work. I went back down and explain to her it did not work and ask her if she can rescan the card for my room, she had a nasty attitude asking, who am I and that I was asking for to much. Girl tf you asking “who even are you” if front the security guard after WE JUST SPOKE 2 MINUTES AGO? She stood her heavy set, uncomfortably built, backwards built, sloppy built, short unattractive self there and continued to smoke her cigarette like I wasn’t there waiting on her unattractive self. It was the heavy set lady with the glasses and a ponytail with brown hair. I don’t understand why it was such a big deal to rescan my key, like babes all you doing is babysitting the building and sending in reports. Like you couldn’t walk yo big ahh to the desk and rescan my mf key? Are you not getting any d? Is your husband cheat or beating on you? If your backwards built goblin face ahh see this just know I was the one in the purple shirt, black shorts and red beats you nasty piece of shet. And I only kept my cool because I wasn’t trying to get kicked out so I just went to my friend room. I personally don’t think you should have people like her working for your company. But I still give the place a 5 star, people like her is ruining the ratings fr. I notcie other reviews reflect on her.
Like I don’t understand??? She’s short, bad built, unattractive ANDDDDD you wanna have a nasty attitude with someone? Babes please get...
Read moreIF YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT WHAT YOUR CUSTOMERS THINK PLEASE READ THIS My stay from the moment I walked into my room was awful. I had booked a non-smoking room but was put in a smoking unit that was permeated with stale and fresh smoke. I did not get checked in until nearly 3 am because of my flight time and people were being turned away as I was at the front desk, so I knew that they were booked. But that was no excuse for giving me a room that was absolutely filthy. The floors were not even swept, let alone mopped. I went to use the bathroom sink and could feel the build up on the handle. I wiped it down with a washcloth and it was red and dirty. There was a visible red colored hand print on the shower wall. After my shower I pulled a towel from the rack that was so rancid with stale smoke I couldn't stand to use it. I shuffled around on the floor with towels under my feet so my bare feet would not come in contact with the unknown left behind. I asked the service for clean towels while she was in the hall and she told me she would get to me on her next round. I was leaving and did not want anyone in my room, so I declined the accommodation. I went to Walmart and bought towels and sheets of my own. The room across the hall was loud all night and I couldn't understand why I could hear them so clearly. Every time they would light up, the smoke would find its way into my room. Not just the cigarette smoke but the marijuana as well. When I could no longer endure, I got up to leave at 3am and could see an excessive amount of light around the door. So this is a FIRE DOOR? So this is why I could hear the people across the hall so well? and how the smoke was able to reach my room so easily? The air conditioner had fabric softener sheets tucked in it for the "air freshener". They didn't even bother to wipe the coffee spills off the table from the previous occupants. I complained as I checked out about the noise as I checked out and she asked why I didn't call her, the phone was disconnected. So if you are still reading this I will not be returning or recommend this hotel at all. In fact, I will have a difficult time returning to any motel...
Read moreSo close and yet not hitting the mark... That is the best description of this motel. I had very high hopes (not expectations) and it left me feeling meh.
I brought my son down with me for a little family time, to visit the beaches and to meet friends in the area. On first glance we when got in late on Friday night (5/24), the room was airy, bright and cheerful. We did also notice several minor issues. First was that the vent fan in the bathroom, wasn't installed. Another thing was the door to room was so extremely stiff or heavy-feeling that it would not close all the way and needed to be pulled firmly to latch (security issue). Lastly the right bedside light was broken/missing a bulb. No big deal, right?...
The following morning as we left for a day in New Orleans, I noticed the (tile) floors not not been swept. After a full day in NOLA, we got back to the room extremely late and crashed. On Sunday morning I noticed the big issue with the room. As I woke up that morning, I found three pieces of curved glass in my (left side) bed under the pillows. My son then noticed very small shards of glass in his (right side) bed. I pulled out the night stand between the beds and there was more glass on the floor, apparently from the broken right-hand bedside light. This was when I raised the BS Flag with the manager.
In the motel's defense, they sent their maintenance staff to install a vent fan in the bathroom, replace the broken bulb and the cleaning crew replaced our bedding because I was concerned we would discover more glass. On check out, the assistant manager reimbursed us $150 for the troubles we had.
I realize its a motel, not a hotel and certainly not a luxury accommodation. Even so, there was a disturbing trend in this room. Prior to check in, the housekeeping staff had obviously not cleaned the room or changed the sheets. If they had, the glass would not have been in the bed, the broken light bulb would have been notices and there would not have been debris on the floors.
To their credit, the staff was friendly and the rooms were very quiet. There was ample parking and the...
