I’ve given this McDonald’s location more than enough chances, but every single time especially during night hours there is always an issue. Whether I order online or in person, I can never count on getting my food made correctly. The burgers are often undercooked or just sloppily thrown together, and the fries are consistently cold and stale.
Most of the problems start after 9 PM. The service becomes extremely slow, with employees visibly vaping and arguing inside the store while customers are left waiting 45 minutes or more in the drive-thru. On this particular night, I placed and paid for my order through the McDonald’s app. As a former employee, I know how things are supposed to work: once a mobile order is placed, it appears on their screen immediately. When the customer arrives and gives the pickup code, the crew should simply confirm it and hand over the food, no delays.
When I arrived, there were 10 cars in the drive-thru and about 5 still waiting to place orders. Since my order was already placed and paid for, I drove around them to the window. I sat in line for 25 minutes, waiting just to reach the window, only to be met by someone who claimed to be the manager, vape in hand, telling me to go all the way back around to give them the code through the speaker. That makes absolutely no sense when they already had the order in their system, and I was there with the code ready.
The night shift at this location is careless, rude, and unprofessional. They have no urgency, no courtesy, and zero respect for customers’ time. If this is how the manager handles things, then a serious change in leadership is overdue. I hope corporate sees this and steps in to address what’s going on at this store. Until then, I strongly advise against ordering from this...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my visit at this location. First off, "Welcome to McDonald's" with a smile, was not given. Then the first thing I'm told after I try to order is... You ain't use the kiosk (with a slight attitude)? I told her, the cashier (who I found out later, was a manager). That I thought that was optional...but quickly I was told the story about crew issues, which a feel, was not my business!! I'm the customer!! But the kicker was, after asking for assistance at the kiosk, she looked me square eyed, and said that she really doesn't know how to use the kiosk herself... I was flabbergasted. After a customer helped with the kiosk, it still took over 8 minutes to receive my Mc Chicken meal with extra lettuce, added onions, extra pickles, cheese and Big Mac sauce, instead of mayo. Oh.. and a caramel sundae. So after about 15 minutes of being in the restaurant, from entering and finally getting my order, I decided to leave with my meal. When I got to my car, and reached in the bag for a hot fry.... Lukewarm!! And the sundae that I purposely bought to complement the fries, what's more like a soft ice cream drink. I believe the caramel sundae was made, but instead of giving it to me, they set it aside until I got my meal. And then I did not even get the mac sauce on the sandwich!! I think from now on I'll just stay on the highway, go up a few more exits and get off on Lakeshore, because that McDonald's, it's almost neck in neck with the downtown McDonald's near the Cooper Green and...
Read moreMy 2nd attempt. .and my last. The 1st time I had an issue was a substitution in the drive thru. The meal on special was the McGriddle meal with coffee. I don't drink coffee so I asked for tea. I was told there would be an upcharge. So I said just give me water. She said she couldn't do that either, I had to get a manager think that resolved it no. So I ordered the meal + a water..since that was the only way to get the order placed when I went to get the meal I told the girl to keep the coffee and be blessed. 2nd issue 2 months later I went in this time hoping for a different experience. I ordered happy meals for the kids as I look at the receipt I realize I was overcharged; the meals were 4.48 each when the sign says 4.19. When I bring it up to the manager she says no you were charged correctly. I then explain that the sign says the happy meals are only 4.19...(FYI in 25min the happy meals will only be 2.99-I wonder how they change the price then) After the manager finds the happy meal section after I show her where it is. She says oh, well we couldn't change the price on the sign. .but the meals are still 4.48. As this was the manager I had no one else to address as she stated a 2nd time our machine that changes the price is broken...so we charged you correctly for the all the happy meals...
