The hotel is in a convenient location, which made it easy to get around. The room itself was clean and well-kept, which I appreciated. However, be aware that early check-in is only allowed if you're willing to pay an extra fee — something to keep in mind if you're arriving ahead of schedule. If you're booking a stay here, I recommend requesting a room away from the highway side. The traffic noise was noticeable and could be disruptive to light sleeper like me. On a positive note, the breakfast staff was very friendly and provided great service in the morning. Overall, a decent stay with a few things to consider depending on your preferences.

We stayed at this hotel on our cross country vacation. They had just recently opened when we stayed here, so not everything was finished. The outside potty area for the dogs didn't have grass yet, but we understood, considering they just opened. We had 3 dogs with us, and arrangements had to be made before hand to allow us to stay here. The management and staff here were very professional and friendly. We truly enjoyed our visit. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was delicious and had a huge variety, the internet was fast, and the location was great!

Great location, nice well designed spacious rooms. Service at desk was delayed upon arrival, no one was present I had to call on lobby phone. Kitchen Sink in our room had no strainer, nor a kitchen wash cloth, prompting front desk and they were provided. Sleep was great soundproofing is good in this Hilton! Clean and comfortable rooms. Tried to use hilton app to pick room but it did not successfully work n ended up checking in the ol’ fashioned way at front desk instead of picking n unlocking app n phone. C’est la vie

Let's start with booking a room and my wife getting redirected to some salesperson that is trying for about 15 minutes to get her to buy a three night stay in Las Vegas for a reason I cannot understand being that we have already told the guy how much we don't like Vegas, super aggressive salesman being really sharky. Just had to hang up on him. When we finally get that guy off the phone and try to go get in our room, the reservation is for a totally different name, I listened to my wife spell out her name, twice to the reservation clerk. They got all but five letters wrong in the name. That made checking in a hassle because it's useless to show your ID when the names don't match up correctly. We ordered a King Suite on the phone and then were given a queen when we got there and told that there was no kings available (the room was booked from the highway in Bismarck, my wife was on the phone with the salesman when we pulled into the parking lot). We were too exhausted to fight it and just took the room. Though the room was clean and new looking, it has the aesthetic appeal of a hospital recovery room. If you ever wondered what it's like to be one of those psychics from the movies that can't turn their powers off, just wait until the window jet engine shuts down and you will hear everything around you. The couple in the room next to us was fighting until midnight and then, I guess they made up because it wasn't fighting noises anymore, it was making up noises now. At least they were having a good time. The guy across the hall and two doors down was a big Fox news fan, had his TV on it until 6 AM. When the people directly across the hall got back at around 1 AM, I actually shot out of bed because I thought someone was in my room. Every little noise including the music that is playing outside of the elevators was audible. I've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the quality spectrum and have had worse night's sleep at others but I also paid far less for those rooms and didn't go in with high expectations. We stayed in room 312 and, If everything else we'd experience to this point was not an omen for a bad stay, maybe the vase full of dead flowers outside of the elevator on the third floor should have tipped us off. They weren't just wilted they were dead like they were plucked from Miss Havisham's house. Of course after Long drive you want to take a shower, so I did. There was a massive leak somewhere near the shower door which allowed a large pool of water to be made in front of the toilet. When I stepped out of the shower my foot slipped and slammed into the door and I was lucky not to go backwards head first into the toilet. Did smash my toe pretty hard and still have the blister under the toenail from the force of the hit. In the morning when my wife reported the slip hazard to the desk clerk he said "Oh, okay" and ignored her comment. Maybe room 312 is cursed, maybe it's a good thing I didn't use the fridge and release Zuul. The last time I stayed in Bismarck it was at the Courtyard Marriott and it was a far superior experience to the Home2Stay. Thank you for...

I travel for work 80+ nights per year, so I consider myself to be a decent evaluator of hotel venues. This hotel is pretty new, as in only been open about 6 months. So, it looks good and even smells good/newer.

The problems however are all, independently why I would not go back.....ever.

  1. No wifi. Really? They have it, but I couldn't ever connect. I was down at front desk inquiring/complaining. I talked to a number of staff several different times during my stay - none of them could help me. Rather they said, "nobody else is having problems." And then said, "here is the number for network support." During my weekly and daily customer calls the last thing I want to do early mornings or in the evenings is get on the phone with network support. Wifi should be hassle free, staple amenity in any hotel chain, especially a new Hilton property. There was never any real offer to help or correct the problem or any other adjustment to my room charge (like maybe some free points). I cant and wont stay where there isn't wifi.

  2. This hotel is "pet friendly." Business travelers as a whole dont care for this approach. Pet [dog] owners assume that everyone loves dogs. Guess what, not necessarily. We are dressed professionally and dont want your "baby" getting slobber/snot on our work clothes. I avoid pets, like in hallways and elevators for this reason. We also dont like the additional hair and fur that we accumulate in our clothing from our rooms from prior pets. If a hotel caters to pet owners, they [in my opinion] alienate themselves from business travelers.....at least the ones I know.

  3. Home2 Suites Hilton points system doesn't accumulate like other Hilton properties. For example, a 1 night stay at a nearby Hampton Inn booked under the same exact rate code the day before earned me more points than 2 nights at this Home2 Suites. The same is true for other Home2 Suites, like the one in Fargo. Getting less than half as many points per night doesn't work for me.

If you are a Hilton point collector staying in Bismarck, stay at the Hampton across the street from this property. It's the best Hilton property...

Showed up at 11:00pm, asked for a room with two beds. Card was ran without being told a price, never given a receipt. Got to the room and it's one bed and a couch. Went back to the front and was told that's all they have. Looked up the charge, almost $200! Explained that's not going to work so we'll need to go somewhere else. Was told we would not be charged, asked for a recipe and was given a nasty look for the inconveniences. The entire time the last was rubbing her runny nose while touching our ID before handing them back. Charge showed pending for a couple of days and I was waiting for it to drop off, instead it charged us. I called, no manager on duty. I explained to the operator the situation, she pulled it up and told me it's going to charge me it just shows pending. I proceeded to try explaining that it is no longer pending and it has charged me only for her to talk over me and argue. I work with money and know the difference between a pending transaction that is supposed to fall off and one that is no longer pending and is showing on my charges and had taken the money from my account. RUDE AND VERY NONEXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Waiting till tomorrow to see if someone will actually call me to refund what I should have never been charged

Edit: I am unable to submit anything using the support link provided in the reply, even though everything is filled out. I called the day after the review, after not getting a phone call, asked for a manager again and was transferred to a voice mail. Left message and still have not gotten a call back. I had to reach out to my bank to dispute, they called and I was finally told is be getting refunded, and I have been. One of the worst...
