The staff here is very friendly but as a previous review stated, they seem lost and confused. Almost as if they are new at serving, but they try. The menu is a bit out of order. No, it does not make it confusing to read, but from a business standpoint, made no sense. Also, I kept looking for more, like where is the rest of the food. I did not find the food to be good at all. No flavor whatsoever. The salsa tasted like it was the Village hot salsa from the grocery store. My husband ordered chicken fajitas and I ordered pollo fundito with a side of beans. The tortillas were hot and one out of the two was burnt so we were unable to use them with our food. The beans were almost like soup. The chicken was bland, almost as if there wasn't any seasoning at all, not even salt or pepper, including his fajitas. The peppers in the fajitas weren't cooked at all, still crunchy. The rice was dry. Our cokes were great. We did not finish our meals. We ate about a fourth of each meal and our total bill was $49.11. Our server checked on us once during our meal and then asked if we wanted a box. When we said no box it took approximately 15 minutes to get our bill. We were able to pay immediately after getting the bill and we left. Will we return? Maybe. We usually give places 3 strikes just in case it was a bad night, but how can everything be bad? Maybe it's because we are from TX and we were expecting better with the reviews. As my husband said 'cook it like you cook at home and...
Read moreOutside it looks like a Hawaiian Restaurant, that’s why we came here, but inside it’s very Mexican. The food is good here, very tasty, but the staff is very lost. Had to ask three different servers for napkins. My server almost gave my second order of chips to another table. Then he almost gave the same table someone else’s food order. Plus the salsa is not chunky, like you would expect from a Mexican restaurant, but like the food here, it’s very tasty
We just noticed two tables that were placed together (for a larger party) but they sat one person at that table, although it already had a party of 4 already sitting there. And he was not with that party…..
Overall the question we ask, would we be back? I believe yes. Although the staff needs more training, the food...
Read moreMy sister and I ate at Maya's for the first time. The outside of the restaurant looked very nice and we were hoping that we would get some good Mexican food here. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as we'd hope. I had a beef enchilada and beans, which was totally hidden, by the sauce that I thought the enchilada might have floated away. The refried beans were soupy as well. My first thought on the beans was that they had made them that way on purpose in order to keep the beans serval thru out the day- (they would dry out as the day progressed). There wasn't much taste with any of the food. We asked for hot sauce to add to the chips and salsa, but they didn't have any. The waiter stated that he had brought the spicy salsa. Overall, I will not eat...
