We've just come from first experience dining at Annie's Culinary Garden. Annie prepares beautifully arranged, fresh, inventive, delicious food for vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerant folks, and meat eaters as well. We fully enjoyed everything--soup, salad, entrees, dessert. Annie is very attuned to the subtleties of natural flavors and to the art of mixing ingredients (without over- mixing them as is common in many restaurants). The flavor of each individual ingredient in her dishes is allowed to have its own identity while blending nicely with the other ingredients. She also grows, herself, much of the food she serves. Read moreThis place is AWESOME!!! Seriously, there is a wide variety to choose from, fresh ingredients, and everything is relatively healthy and accommodating of different diets. Dine in, grab and go, rotating specials, and regular staples. It's so exciting to have a place like this in Black Mountain. The staff was super friendly, and I'm pretty sure it was the owner who gave me her personal recommendation on reheating the tofu, broccoli, and mango rice bowl (which was incredible, that sauce is everything 👌). I made sure to get like 12 different things to try and each item was better than the last. The roasted red pepper and tomato soup also deserves a special shout out! Read moreI am thrilled! This is the cleanest, most healthy and fresh, straight from the garden restaurant probably in all of Asheville. I like to eat out, but always feel guilty because so many ingredients that are used at almost all restaurants, even those who boast a healthy fare, have canola oil, soy oil and fried foods...just to name a few ingredients that I'd rather not ingest. Annie goes out of her way to make totally delectable dishes out of amazingly health ingredients!
