The service was painfully slow. I was going to cut 'em some slack because it was the lunch hour but people who came in after us were getting their food before us! It's not like we had a complicated order or anything. The food was mediocre and overpriced. It tasted alright is the only positive thing I can say about the experience. I ordered a Chicken Club (you know: chicken slices on two slices of toasted bread with all the trimmings, then cut into 4 corners). It was not a Club it was a skinless, bland chicken breast on top of a hamburger bun with a cheap bag of chips on the side. My husband ordered a Reuben. It arrived with Mystery Meat and lots of sauce. This was the worst bbq I have ever eaten. The chili powder in the rub was so pronounced it over powered what was a good sauce. Neither my wife or I could finish it. Honestly it bore no resemblance to bbq. It was a horrific insult to southern bbq. In addition prices were high for lunch. A regular fry was $2.50 for 14 french fries mostly short pieces, a large was $5 We always eat local while traveling but this is one time a honey bun and coke from the circle k would have been better. We walked in and honestly wanted to walk out only because we were the only African American people we saw and being new to the south from New York!! We just didn’t know what to expect!......WAIT!
