I have frequently been to this pizza house. It is a nice local hangout. But I have a story to share.
I have an auto-immune disease, walk with a cane and sometimes rely on a walker on the really dizzy days now - I have chronic vertigo. One of the managers? (I'm not certain if she was the manager, franchise owner, or worker) didn't appreciate my singing at an open Karaoke night. I have been singing professionally for 45+ years, however, she said that she was having a "family night" and didn't appreciate me drinking...one beer...mind you, in front of her family.
I will no longer patronage this establishment - and that truly upsets me. I was made to feel unwelcome and unwanted. I respect everyone in "recovery" however, it was completely unprofessional for her to say that I couldn't have a beer in front of her family. The pizza house sells alcohol. Sorry and Period.
I apologized to her...I complimented her voice... I was supportive of other guests who had the courage to sing. Unfortunately, she didn't "receive" my sincere and actual intent of the apology due to her response. She was rude and dismissive. I am truly sorry if I offended her/them. If you can't ask me why I have a disability, I shouldn't have to assume you are in recovery.
My message to the management staff is... if someone has a disability that makes balance and mobility a challenge and takes medication which dilates their eyes but they aren't legally impaired...don't excuse them from your establishment with your standoffish behavior, assuming they are impaired. And if you continue doing Karaoke but would like a private event...pay for a private event and close the doors to the public.
THIS is a teaching moment. Don't assume you know what is going on in another person's life. Everyone has a story. I am a good and thoughtful patron. I regularly tip your staff quite well. Take care that you don't ostracize your future patrons with your internal...
Read moreWe walked over from the truck stop. We ordered for carryout. 3 items- a calzone, a medium (cauliflower crust) pepperoni pizza, and 8 bone in wings. It was just under $30 as a promotion including tax but not including tip.
I LOVE that they have a gluten free option- the cauliflower crust is gluten free, but they say they can't be sure of cross contamination which is typical for a pizza place. My sensitivity is ok with a little cross contamination so this was fine for me.
My husband ate the calzone, he said it was really good and a nice size.
I ate the cauliflower crust pepperoni pizza. The crust is definitely gluten free and I think it'll get soggy if I don't eat it quick enough, which is sad. I'm not sure how other places do it where it's not soggy, but this is not typical. The crust was also burnt on one side. The pepperoni was good, I always wish there was more but I get it. $2 for an extra topping is crazy to me but I think this area is expensive.
The wings I'm saving for later, but my husband had one and he said it was a very good wing.
The service was great- the person at the counter was very friendly and let us know our order had about 3 minutes left.
There is a small arcade here- mostly claw machines and separately a couple pinball machines. They have a change machine for the pinball machines (they take quarters) and a game card machine for the others. They also had a prize counter.
I'd come back, hopefully they can work out the crust not being so soggy, and maybe adding the option for extra crust flavor (like seasoning before the rest of the pizza...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered a deliver about 5 months ago and absolutely nothing about our order was edible and we tossed it in the garbage. Pizza was cold, toppings were wrong, very little sauce, and amount of meat was disappointing. One pizza was burnt on the bottom.
A few days ago we decided to give this place one more try and they didn’t disappoint.
One pizza had the cheese on top actually burnt, however, the pizza itself was very cold. Very little sauce (none in some places) and you had to look hard to see any meat toppings.
The other pizza was cold as well, very little sauce or meat toppings and once again, it was burnt on the bottom.
Pretty obvious that the employees making the pizza’s really don’t care about the product they turn out. In addition, management must have “ZERO” quality control procedures in place.
Save yourself the heartache and disappointment and shop elsewhere for a...
