I must say, as a foodie I am quite disappointed in the quality of food in this establishment. I cannot understand how you put quantity over quality. First and foremost, the encounter with the man at the counter was typical. I told him the food I ordered, he asked for my number, gave it to verify and then made the transaction. The food was actually cheaper than most Chinese restaurants around the area. I called ahead to make sure they get my order instead of ordering on the spot. The man got the fried plantains less than a minute later. What really got me lost is the fact that the man left the order on the front, and never packaged it. Waited another 5 minutes till the lady packaged the order and I was on my way. My expectations for good tasting food had dropped, as I was getting a scent of pork inside the container of the fried plantains, but that's nothing yet. When I reached, I opened the container for the fried plantains and there you have it. Nothing but some nice crispy and crunchy burnt plantains with a little reek smell of pork, which confirms the fact that they fry the pork in the same fryer as the plantains. Seeing the texture and condition of the plantains, I didn't get phased by seeing the condition of the Chicken w broccoli and white rice. Rice was stale and chicken w broccoli was full of grease. Ate two burnt plantains and two spoons of the greasy chicken with broccoli, and decided to just throw it out one time. Been ordering from this place for years but lately they are messing up my orders when delivered. I called to complain and their solution was to let them know next time I order they will supply food that was missing. I stated no and told them I payed for it and they should be able to delivery when I originally asked for it. They said they will deliver and I asked them to included extra food which I will pay for but yet they wanted to charge me another delivery fee. I refused because they were going to bring food that was missing from my order. Not only I asked to speak to a manager/supervisor but they hung up on me two times. Me being so upset I decided to go pick up the food in the rain. When I get to the place food wasn’t even ready and no manager to speak to. Apparently when you place order on phone it’s thru a call center. Very hard to believe. This will be the last time I order from here. I’ve been ordering from this Chinese place for many years but unfortunately I will stop doing so. They’ve changed their answering service, so now instead of speaking to one of the owners or one of the sons directly to order your food, you have to speak to like an answering service they’ve hired. So I called to order my food and they’re taking FOREVER!! So I called back to see how much longer they’re going to take and the lady from the answering company says to me that she can’t give me an estimate of the time because I ordered the food over the phone to her “boss” and not to her and that she will be calling me back, and yet NO ONE has called me back and I’ve been waiting TOO LONG!
