John’s Deli 🥪✨ – Where 1979 Never Left! 🕰️ Founded in 1979🎉 (the same year the Sony Walkman 🎧 dropped, Pink Floyd released “The Wall” 🎸🎶, and the New York Rangers skated to the Stanley Cup Finals 🏒🏆), this deli has been slinging legendary sandwiches for decades! Step inside and time-travel 🚪⏳: the cozy vibes, retro memorabilia 📸🖼️, and the *heavenly* smell of fresh-baked bread 🍞😍 will make you feel like you’ve wandered into a classic NYC slice of history. Why folks obsess?🤤 - The Ultimate Cheese Steak Sandwich 🥩🌟: Tender meat piled sky-high, drenched in golden gravy🍛, peppers, onions and mushrooms perfectly sauté, hugged by a crusty roll. One bite = instant nostalgia! - Generations of Regulars 👵👴👶: Grandparents, parents, and kids all swear by that same iconic flavor. - Community Roots ❤️🏡: Walls whisper stories of local love, Little League teams 🏟️, and chicken parm cravings. In a era that’s always chasing “new” 🌃🚀, John’s Deli is a cozy time capsule 🛋️📻. Come for the sandwiches, stay for the soul—it’s a delicious bite of the past, served fresh daily! 🥪💫

Four of us ordered sandwiches and three of us were more than disappointed. You would expect an Italian deli to have good procuitto but it was HORRIBLE. It smells bad and tastes even worse totally inedible. My Turkey & Avocado BLT (as well as my coworker) should leave out the word avocado because this was the amount of avocado on these sandwiches. Inexpensive food, i guess you get what you pay for. Very disappointed will need to travel a little further next time for lunch while we work locally.

Little to no mozz on my sandwich. Might as well not have gotten any mozzarella. Also the prosciutto looks absolutely disgusting. Drive a few extra miles and go to Colmants for a real sub. Never coming here again.

This delicatessen has unlimited potential! GREAT location at busy intersection! Parking is a bit tough, but I wouldn't let that stop me. The people are nice and the place is clean! Bread was fresh, the only problem was that the sandwich at $7.95 was extremely "cheap" in terms of amount of meat and cheese on the sandwich!!! I couldn't believe that the guy (owner?), weighed the meat! What? I've been to many delis over the years and they all slice the meat directly into the bread w/o weighing it! It was like Amateur Hour! There was much too little meat and only 1 very thin slice of cheese! This Screams: "CHEAP"! You might be a Cost Control Freak, but you are certainly not Customer Satisfaction Minded! These guys could be making lots of money if they gave their customers a real good sandwich, as it wouldn't take long for the word to get out that this deli made exceptional sandwiches. People, but especially MEN want to get a sandwich that satisfies them. They got the biggest problem solved ... Location, location. Unfortunately, the current sandwich size isn't going to bring in the crowds. Stop using the scale like they do in those "Franchise" places where the corporate office plans everything out for you and allows only so many ounces per sandwich! Those places are a joke and they Suck. Get back to being an Old School Deli and differentiate yourself from all your competitors! Be bold, think outside of the box that everyone else remains safely in. Give people something to talk about and to remember YOUR DELI before everybody else!!!! Wake up!!!! I'll try you one more time the next time I am in that area. If the sandwich is still a Wimpy Sandwich, it'll be the last time I come in. The ball is...
