When we walked in, there were tons of unaccompanied young children yelling/alone in booths/no adults/etc. The restaurant/floors/tabletops were absolutely filthy. We walked up to the counter and the associate had his back to us while using his phone. We stood there about 3 minutes before a kitchen staff member told him we were there. We didn't want to interrupt him using his phone, after all. I'm sure it was of the utmost importance. I was with my child & asked for a glass of water for her. I was told it cost a quarter??? Ummm...WHAT?! On principle alone, I passed on that fabulous offer. [Never EVER have I been charged for a glass of water...ANYwhere!] When our food came out, I had ordered a large onion ring. It was in a large container, but there were only 8 onion rings in it & they were all fried together in one gross clump. I went up to ask for more zesty sauce since I ordered a large size. The woman at the counter told me 'you only get one free. It's fifty cents if you want another.' At this point I asked her for a copy of my receipt as I wanted to do the survey. She grinned at me & said: 'YES! Report it!!' I asked her for her name & she kept grinning saying it was Griselda & she was the Assistant General Manager. She then walked over to one of the large groups of children & began talking to them & it was obvious they were her children/family sitting in there while she was working. The other group of children sitting alone, making a huge mess at a different table, started to get even louder & an older white lady behind the counter told them to quiet down as she 'shouldn't be able to hear them behind the counter.' One of them said 'Sorry Gramma!' So...it seems this Burger King location also serves as a daycare for its workers? Never seen that before either. Kind of off-putting actually. While we were seated at our table, my child was facing the counter. Griselda kept staring at my child/us & whispering to her co-workers who also kept looking over at us. I honestly thought we might get jumped because...this surely did not feel like a typical fast-casual dining experience...whatsoever. The place was a pigsty, unsupervised workers' children being obnoxious & loud...ABYSSMAL SERVICE...FROM MANAGEMENT. We will not be returning & will let others know to go the much-better Burger King location over on 98th Street in...
Read moreThis restaurant is outdated and lacks a warm welcoming atmosphere. The decor, if any, is from the 80's to 90's. The neon around the inside of the restaurant is not working or they do not turn on maybe to try and safe energy. The florescent lighting in the dining room had many burnt out bulbs. No music plays in the dining room, so you hear everything that is going on with the staff. I don't see how the health department has not cited this location for back of house operations. The kitchen areas where the staff works only has a few lights in the far back that lights up enough for the crew to see what they are doing. This is a violation of health code. They need an inspection to correct these violations. I have worked in food service for over 30 years, and this would never be acceptable from any health department. The outside lot needs to be striped so vehicles know where to park in correct lanes. Garbage is full in the receptacle by the front door. Not a welcoming message for people visiting. The food tastes great and the fountain soda tastes better...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this location for many years and usually order from their special sandwich menu. They advertise a $5 deal (2 for $5) and a $7 deal (3 for $7). I ordered two sandwiches from the $5 deal.
I paid with my credit card without checking the total, but later noticed I was charged $8.95 instead of $5.45. At first, I thought it was a mistake. The next day, I spoke with the manager, who said she intentionally charged the higher amount because I didn’t specifically say I was ordering from the $5 menu. She pointed to a tiny disclosure on the menu, but it’s almost impossible to read.
I asked for a refund, but she refused. When I tried to order two more sandwiches from the $5 menu, she said I had to specifically request the $5 deal again or she would not honor it.
At that point, I realized she was just being difficult. I asked for the corporate office’s phone number, but she refused to provide it and only took my name and number. I still haven’t heard back. This feels like a scam, and I believe the store is deliberately...
